I don't remember where this coupon code came from. I am getting my coupons all mixed up. Anyone know?

Thanks!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

This is an American Airlines coupon...don't know if it is needed, but I googled it, found it and printed it. We are also taking our aa frequent flyer number just in case.

Thanks for the info I just got my mini-van down to $468. I was wondering - I used the american exp ID number. IS that any amer exp.?? Thanks

My Alamo rental has dropped another $15 as of today, 7/11

My rate is now $174.20 for a standard car, or $181.37 for a full size car - which I am told there is no standard isle at MCO, so when booking a standard, one actually chooses from the full size car isle - but I have never experienced that personally.:confused3

My dates are 8/7 to 8/16 - pick up/drop off at MCO
Codes used : BJ's corporate code 7014696, E.Coupon code AD2359FDF

Yet another Alamo rate drop as of 7/14/12:

Standard : $159
Full size: $167 ... those prices are with all taxes/fees, an additional driver, and unlimited miles.

My DH chimes in at this rate, Alamo will be giving us $ to rent one of their cars in a couple of weeks, HA HA (I doubt that):crazy2:

Still hasn't topped our rate for last Thanksgiving. Full-size for a week for $95...ahhh that was a great rate. But this is not so bad either.

thank you!
We now have a standard thru Alamo for $116. Canccelled dollar.

we started over $200

How is everyone getting these awesome rates with Alamo? Mine has come down a bit since I first started looking, but it's certainly no $116, or $180! I've still been getting $260 for a full size (using a double upgrade coupon, so this is really a quote for a midsize, as well as my corporate ID) August 14-21. We're picking up and returning at the Dolphin - if that makes a difference? Maybe you can get better rates picking up and dropping off at MCO?

I'd love to get a cheaper rate!!

Play around with picking up and dropping off at Mco. Also try the $35 off coupon. Last, try signing up for Alamo insiders, try their I'd or if you are a member at Costco or bj's.

After reading the most recent postings, I checked and was able to upgrade our rental to a premium car for less than $10 for the entire rental! Dollar rent a car rates must have dropped also!

Question: Does anyone know what kinds of cars fall into the premium rate? The example listed was a Ford Crown Victoria, which would make the hubby very happy. He is 6'4" with long legs, so he does not really fit into a lot of smaller cars.

What other cars might we get in the premium category at Dollar?

yes, if you plug in your dates and use any of the codes/coupons listed and use MCO you'll see the rate is significantly less.

Why not just pick up at the airport?

My reasoning for picking up at the Dolphin is that we really only need the car for a week. We're staying off-site for 6 days and then on-site at YC for 6 days, so we were going to use DME to get to the resort and back to the airport. I was thinking, though, if we can get a cheaper rate for the entire time we're gone (August 14-25) then maybe we'd just do the airport pick up.

I am also kind of wanting to go with Alamo because I can get a GC using airmiles.

I just tried using the codes I was using for my current reservation, and the quote I was given was $400 for August 14-25

ETA : never mind, I just tried it again and got a much lower quote (although, it is still $278 for the time period)

Sometimes the price is higher if you are receiving reward points. Try entering everything without asking for air miles.

I just got $228 for your dates. I put in arriving at 10:30 and returns at 11:00 am. Alamo seems to like arriving on the half hour. This was using the Alamo insider ID and coupon code AD2359FDF for $35 off.

Ooops, I should have said that I can use my airmiles to get a $100 GC, which "lowers" the amt. that I'm paying OOP.

When I went and tried it again, I got $250 for the 12 days (we are flying in early-ish and leaving late) This is for a mid-size.

Seems alright to me! I will keep watching.

Thanks!!

If you use an airmiles ALAMO GC you cannot put anything in the coupon code area as its not a GC for Alamo from airmiles its a Coupon - read the fine print on the airmiles alamo page... Also you have to enter them on your reservation at leats 24 hours before pick up - you need to phone them if you are using more than one ( alamo is 3 max) as the site only has one coupon code field

The Budget GC's are actual GC's you can use as many as you want and they dont count as a coupon.

Very misleading. And frustrating as they just went up from 600 AM to 950AM!

my friend just went through all this and forwarned me ( thank goodness)

Thanks so much, Carina!! I had no clue (I guess I should know to always read the fine print!!) I wonder if you can still enter in a contract ID code? Maybe I'll look into Budget as well - didn't know they offered GCs through airmiles as well!!

The prices that everyone Is posting are far below my National corporate rate for a standard car for 10 days 8/22-9/2 of $414 including all taxes and fees. I would really like to stay with National because of the aisle service and the insurance on our company contract. Does anyone know of any coupon codes that will work with National?
Thank you!
