August 2011

In just over 12 hours I'll be on the plane towards Orlando! :goodvibes

I started checking accuweather a couple of days ago and it was announcing solid rain starting on the 15th. The next day I checked the solid rain was going to start on the 16th. Then the 17th. Now you say it's the 18th? Feels like they are just predicting rain to come *at some point*, at least one week away from today... no matter what day today is...

Same thing happens with the canadian weather website, "weatherchannel". When checking the long range forecast for some place away (in May it was Cuba, now it's Orlando), it ALWAYS predict that the temperature will drop several degrees, exactly 7-8 days from now, no matter when *now* is. But then it never does drop.

All this to say... Don't Worry. :rotfl:

Thank you! I really do feel better now, LOL. You would seriously think after going to WDW every year for I don't even know how long, I'd be used to the bad forecasts! :lmao:

Congratulations!

The mail man was lucky I was not home when my mail arrived .

That was a close race only one day. Lizzyb smoked us both though and we all arrive at Disney on the same day and we are all from Canada. I wonder if when we paid off our balance has any thing to do with it.
Maybe its because I live in the best province;)
Just did my online check-in. Tomorrow at this time I will do flight check-in and printing.

Laid out DDs clothes, she'll do that before bed tonight. We are going to do some backpack stuff tonight. Otherwise, we are scrambling all evening tomorrow and we have to get to bed early.

4 AM taxi for 6:15 flight.:scared1:

**Made ticker before adding extra day.**
Woohoo!

You are soo close!

Even though I know it most likely won't, can someone make me feel better and tell me it's not going to rain solid rain every single day starting on the 18th through the week of the 21st like accuweather.com is predicting?

I know, I know, I go through this every year. Weather looks good, then all of a sudden, the week of our trip looks like a monsoon for 2 solid weeks, LOL.

(For reference, we will be a the Wilderness Lodge from August 22nd through September 1st)!!!!!!!!

It's not as bad as it first looks.

Most (if not all) days are calling for 3hrs of rain or less that is expected in Orlando for this time of year.

Amount of rain is a very low .02-.07 inchs per day.

Thunderstorm probability is from 0-9% per day (shouldn't cause any rides to be shut down).

UV index is very high :goodvibes every day so be sure to bring your sun block.

Best of all amount snow predicted is 0.0 inches per day!:)

Cool! We'll be there from August 22nd through September 1st, although our trip actually starts on Sunday the 21st, when we spend the day driving down. :)

You think I would learn by now not to worry about the weather. In reality, the long term forecast for the past few years we have gone, always shows what appears to be steady rain for our entire trip! In general, we do get daily t-storms, but overall, the weather has been great. We have been doing the last two weeks of August for the past 3 to 4 years, as it just works for us date wise with school, work and other commitments.

The last 2 days it's rained off and on all day. My weatherman says that's all going to change soon and we will be back to our typical summer weather pattern of a late afternoon/early evening storm to cool things off.

We are heading to Disney World from 8/30 through 9/7. We'll be staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. We are all getting very excited (all = me, my wife and two daughters, ages 7 and 9)!!!

Single DAY dance!

By this time tomorrow, we'll have eaten lunch, hit the Publix and may already be on our way into the resort. Crossing fingers (in vain, I'm sure) for an already-ready room with all of my requests met.

Anyway, going to Epcot in the afternoon. And it's "cold" here. I'll be glad to go back where it's still summer. July ended in Chicago and it's instantly fall. It stinks.

Now, to go pack.....

brijencait-Online check in is a good feeling, right?!

kermit-Have fun!

I'm leaving in 4 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
