I got that email this morning too....kinda nuts. I expected the weekend of the 20th & 21st to be busy, as this is FL's last weekend before school starts right?? But I sure hope the crowds aren't as bad as TP predicts they will be for that week. Anyone know how they judge this??

I have no idea, I have Aug. 26th scheduled for DHS and I still plan on going that day. All of my other days are the same according to them and it would just be too much work to rearrange everything I have with ADR's and all. I plan on getting there at rope drop so hopefully everything will work out ok.

I girl that I went to high school with lives near WDW. We had planned on meeting while I was down there since she has season passes. When I finally sent her the dates of 8/20-26 she said that they couldn't meet. That was the first week of school for her girls. Fortunately mine starts the week after that.

We also start the following week. My daughter is missing the 1st day of school as it was much cheaper to fly home on Monday than Sunday. Plus they really do not do much that first day.

We have DHS down for the 22nd & 25th. 22nd it's the best, 25th avoid. I expected it the 25th as we have the Fantasmic package booked that night. Originally I tried to plan around TP, with the exception of the Fantasmic Package, some days have remained good, others turned bad. Like you said no way am I reworking ADRs for TP's crowd tracker. I'd still love to have mostly 6.0 and under days though

12 more days until I can check in online!!! I'm getting SO excited! I still have to buy my snacks, but I have most of my packing list written down. Just hope I don't forget anything.
What are some snacks that everyone brings? Need new ideas

We ordered Garden Grocer and I'm bringing stuff from home. From GG I ordered water, milk, juice, fresh fruit and cereal. From home I'm bringing Fiber One bars for the kids (to eat in the room, not carry as they would be melty), cheese filled snack crackers, gummi bears, goldfish and I'm not sure what else.




I am now officially in the TEENS. 19 days to go.

Touring Plans update is freaking me out but I'm not changing anything due to ADR's most likely.

The only guess I can make is that Disney has added a second Fantasmic show most nights, as well as a second MSEP parade on some nights as well. But I refuse to believe that suddenly the entire population of Walt Disney World will be at HS everyday and every night.

As for the changes on Touring Plans for DHS during August...I was definitely wondering what effect the nightly Fantasmic! showings would have on crowd calendars and actual crowd levels. Truth is, I don't think even TP has a good handle on what to expect. I think you'll still see a lot of people go to DHS on the days F! only was originally going to be showing. ADRs and such plans were made accordingly long before the announcement that they will be showing it nightly. And many people will probably stick to those.

In August the weather is a big issue. When big storms pick up and even moderate rain everything changes at the parks and esp water parks. I think TP has no way of predicting the weather and I think they fear the F! each night will make HS tough, but I cant imagine that the parks are going to be 8-10 crowded from Aug 22-26...
