I'll be there with my Dsis and nieces Aug 1-5 at the Tropicana. Yay!!!

Just planned a spur of the moment decision trip Aug 3rd - 9th! First trip to DL for my girls and fiance! We are usually DW people but I have zero desire to be in Florida in August!!!! And from what I'm reading the summer crowds are more manageable in DL. Very excited. Staying at the BWPPI. Still trying to decide exactly which days to do the parks. I usually try to avoid weekends but those were the dates we had this time.

How was your trip to Romania, Jack? How long of a flight is that??! Thank you for keeping up the list! You mentioned that it's a short list this year. It seems like a long list to me but I wasn't here last year so can't compare like you can. Is it really much shorter than in years past?

I was super excited when our travel docs arrived yesterday! We booked through Costco and arrive on August 7 so that is about 3 weeks out that we received our package. We are driving down from the Seattle area and celebrating our daughter's 13th birthday on August 12, our last day in the parks. We are staying at the BWPPI (changed from Fairfield Inn). I think the change came up once but now it is back to FI on the list.

Anyway, I just can't wait for this trip! It has been 3 years since we have been to Disneyland and I miss it so much!!! This is our first summer season trip although when we went 3 years ago it was in October and that was CRAZY - crowded & record breaking hot temps.

Thanks for asking. It took about 14 total hours with gas stops, customs. We fly on a private jet, a Gulfstream G550, very very nice.
You will have a blast, take the knowledge from the boards, you can not miss.
Last year it was longer but a number of people going to D23 have not/do not sign on the August.
