Does anyone have any good codes for August? I've been playing around with some but the rates seem high this year.

I'm looking for codes for Aug. too. The cheapest rate I could get was $313 (total after all charges) for 8 day fullsize with Alamo.

Try Advantage Car Rental which is now owned by Hertz. I was able to get a Minivan for 13 days in July for a total of $465 including all taxes and fees. A full size for the same period was about $26 cheaper. Use ADVAN as a discount code for 5% off.

I just tried Advantage and got $393 (vs $313 for Alamo).

I'm booked with National (Executive Selection) but looking for a good code, we really need a minivan or full size SUV (Tahoe/Suburban/Expedition). It seems like the minivans and big SUV's are anywhere from $600-$1200 with all the taxes.

Advantage is probably cheaper because they are not at the airport. You have to take a shuttle to get to them - just like Hertz. For us its worth a little bit more to walk across the street and get the car. Have you tried the codes on mousesaver. Also, try the coupons and discounts available if you are a costco, bjs member. Alamo and National let you combine a code with a coupon. So far we have a regular SUV through Alamo for 8 days at $470 with all taxes, fees and a free additional driver. Will keep looking but since the economy tanked the car companies have cut their car supply and that in turn has caused the higher prices.

I'm looking for August, too. When I worked on our budget for the trip several months back I had priced it with National and a Costco code. Now it appears that Costco no longer has codes for National and the other codes aren't as good.

I'm going to hold out for a better rate. It is amazing how much time I spend checking the airfares and rental cars every day!

I have been looking for August too, but have not had much success either. The best codes I found so far are from FlyerTalk. Corp. ID 5760333 and $30.00 Coupon ND3Z11ZDQ. It is unclear where Corp. ID is from. I have heard everything from TA code to some organization I never heard of.

Rates are very specific depending on your dates but a 1 week rental for minivan in August (plugged in Aug 7 - 14th) including taxes is $421.79. This is with Thrifty using Orlando Magic Card corporate number 004m001010 and includes free addiional driver.

Update: Looks like Budget has a good rate using BCD Number x474200 and Coupon MUWZ023 for $25.00 off. The total including coupon being applied at checkout is $272.86. The BCD code as reported over on Flyertalk apparently comes from Travelocity.

The good news is we'll be in Orlando for 16 days, the bad news is we want to rent a car. There will only be 4 of us so just about any size will do, Best I've found so far is $385 for an economy...I'm hoping to get a steal by watching all these threads. We'll be there 7/27-8/12.

Right now I'm sitting with $144.73 base/$203.99 total for a midsize for a week with Alamo, using Costco discount and one free day off rental. Booked it early Feb. and I think its gone up slightly.

I have an Alamo mid-size reservation or 8/12 to 8/22. Booked using the Costco code and coupon - total with taxes is $228.39. I booked it in mid-January and haven't found anything better since (and I don't think I will).

I have a standard size (Chev malibu) using Costco ID and entertainment.com double upgrade code - 13 days from Orlando and drop off to Tampa for $268 everything included including additional driver!

I guess I should get the entertainment book! That's a great rate. Which costo code did you use? And what company?

Off of the Coscto.com website ID# 7014627. The entertainment code I got by ordering the "online Entertainment book access" to Orlando off of Expedia for $10.

I just booked a 10 day economy/compact car rental with Alamo, roudtrip MCO using the Costco coupon and ID code on their website. Total out the door: $179.79

There are only 3 of us so I always book the cheapest class of car. 95% of the time we are upgraded for free because they are out of our category upon arrival.

Bump! I'm at $253 with National for 9 days in August and would like to get this total down. Any other coupons out there? I'm currently using the EC discount (5007125). Thanks!
