I just booked our trip for Aug 24 thru Sept 1 at POFQ never been there before but I am sure we will love it! I got the value rate of 149 per night so now I am hoping for dining or ticket discounts. I have also had good luck with Disney Visa card promotions! I hope I am as luck this time!

We are currently booked at Caribbean Beach for August 9-17th but upgrading to the WL may be a possibility or if we do really well in our spring garage sale maybe the Poly again. Of course a code/discount will also be necessary. I am afraid our April 2008 trip to the Poly (we were upgraded to concierge) spoiled us tremendously. Unfortunately with the way the economy is going we should just thank our lucky stars if we even get to go to Disney next year!

We will be at CBR at the exact same time next year . I'm just hoping for a code so I can justify going in the opressive August heat . And like you said, with the economy in limbo and trip is better than no trip.

We had free dining last year and got a free upgrade to OKW - 1 Bed Villa.

Doubt if I will ever be as lucky but you never know.

We have never been in August so the heat concerns me but it really is the only time we can get away next year. My daughter is in special education and I don't want her to miss any of her services and school/extended school year goes from late August to mid July. Spring break and the winter holiday season is just too expensive.

We'll be going in August too, for my birthday and belated college graduation celebration (and hopefully grad school acceptance celebration too )! This year I definitely remember getting 40% off codes for August... so I'm hoping something will show up sooner rather than later.

I am planning a trip for August as well, and i have never done trip planning before. I went to Disney in January this year, and stayed at the WL. Unfortunatly all i had to do was show up, all arrangements were made. I am carrying my 6 yr old sister with me. What is the best way to book a vacation, and will i even be eligible for codes?? Im so confused in this process. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!

Just booked our August 2009 vacation but was unable to get the AAA discount so definitely am on the lookout for something to lessen the cost.

What kind of discounts were offered for August 2008 and when were they offered?

You'll love POFQ, especially during August, not very busy at all! Its quiet and you'd barely know there was another resort just down the road! I highly recommend it! The bus service is great too. Always first to be picked up and always first to be dropped off!

Just wondering if there is anyone else out there going the last week of August 2009... We have 1 child a 9 year old girl. We would love to bring a friend but we will be there almost 10 days so that is too long for most kids that age..

Is there anyone going with 1 girl? It would be great to meet up so they will have a companion to do the parks with periodically

We will be at the AKL villas and then the contemporary, Aug 23-Sept 1.

Its too long to wait but it WILL be worth it!!

Hi everyone!!! Dh just told me a few days ago to start planning our next trip to WDW!! We just got back last month! I think we will be going in August next year! So I am on a code watch as well!

And for all of you that have been in August - How are the crowds? We will be going Aug. 16-22.

We've gone that week for the last 2 years and it wasn't bad at all. It was extremely hot (and that's coming from a girl from South Texas) the first year, this past year was nice and cool compliments of Hurricane Faye, but you did have to get a little wet. It does seem to be the week before free dining each year though. We always just miss it.
