Our trip is paid for and we are also waiting for SW Dings for the same exact week as you! Keep me posted Ill keep you posted!IDK where your flying from but we would be flying from PHL to MCO !Fingers crossed with these gas prices on the rise!! I'm hoping that Free Dining will dull the crowds a little in August...one can hope anyway!

We will be right behind you. Staying at the POFQ from August 10th - 16th. I thought of the same thing about the free dining plan affecting crowds. I'm hoping the same.

Hi, this is my first post here. I'm so happy I found this forum! My husband and I are driving down from Maryland August 15th-22nd for our second anniversary. We're staying at the Radisson Inn Lake Buena Vista. We just kinda decided to go at the last minute so we were so lucky to get a great rate. Neither of us have been down there since high school so we're very excited!

Hi! We're staying at the Poly from Aug. 13th to 21st. We are in PA and having a heat wave this weekend so I'm starting to get worried about handling the heat/humidiy in Disney . Do any of you repeat August Disers have advice on how to handle the heat? Do we really need ponchos every day?? Thanks!

I'll be booking my trip tomorrow morning. I already have a AAA agent and will be staying at the Contemporary. Our dates will either be Aug 2-7 or 3-7. It's my first time back since 1991 and I barely remember that trip, so needless to say I've EXTREMELY excited!

Look for the window decorated with lime green Mickeys! Last time (Aug '06), I decorated, but we were so far away from everything (back side of one of the '60s buildings facing the lagoon), I didn't have any Dis buddies signing my sign. LOL! And what a mighty fine decorated window it was. LOL!

I can't wait!!!! We're actuallygetting to FL on Aug 13 but to Disney Aug 15. We have free dining (a week or so early for us US folks thanks to a not-so-honest CM but a very BIG thanks to an *awesome* rep from Disney corporate). Our plane tickets were $200+ less to fly two days earlier, so we're staying off-site for two days before moseying over to the World.

Has anyone ever eaten at Teppan Edo? My daughter and I really love Japanese food, and wonder about others personal thoughts about this restaurant.

We used an AAA agent too. They're great! And they saved us a bundle. I use AAA for almost all of my trips. The savings are usually spectacular. Be sure to give us a report on the Contemporary; and your trip, of course. My middle daughter wants to go when she turns 18, in two years, and was thinking about the Contemporary. My goal is to stay at all of the resorts!!

i'll be there with my mom and 2 brothers aug 13-20 at pop! we've got 2 rooms, so there'll be 2 windows w/LGMH! hopefully we run into each other

We eat at Teppan Edo every trip. It is great and alot of fun. When we were there last year for my birthday, it was closed for rehab. We tried Benehana's by Downtown Disney. It just wasn't the same. But we have our ADR's for this trip.

We are going to be there from the 15th to the 21st. Dh and I are flying down to Key West on the 11th and driving up to Orlando on the 14th. 1 night (thanks sis ) at AKL then on the morning of the 14th ds1 and ds2 come down and we move to POp for the week.
