OK please help me understand I AM NEW to trying to rent a DVC. I have 6 adults and 3 children and am THINKING of a week towards the middle to end of August next year 2007. TRYING TO SURPRISE MY PARENTS AND SISTER and her family with a trip to the WORLD with our family. BUT need to get some rough idea on how many points I am looking for. I am really not all that concerned about where to stay...OLD KEY WEST is great or The Boardwalk. Really I am trying to do this with as much value as possible.

BIG QUESTION:

Can DVC renters use the meal plan? I know this time of year the meal plans are FREE

There's a DVC point chart link at the top, just under the border of the page.
The dining plan is not free if you rent DVC points. There may be dining plan that you can pay for, but I don't think the '07 charges are out yet. DVC just got "into" the paid dining plan this year.
