WELCOME SINGINGTINK TO OUR HUMBLE (?) GROUP. If you have been reading the thread I guess it is too late to warn you and you still want to come! Wonderful!

My DH says you are all too much. He sees the e-mail notices that someone posted and says, "You have another one of those e-mails from the Discussion People." So "Discussion People", we'll just have to recruit him if we can.

BTW I just realized that DH will be celebrating his 60th birthday just days after we get back to FL. I think I will celebrate it onboard. Two birthdays on the same cruise! DD turning 8 and DH turning 60! Anyone want cake!!!!!!!!!

Julie, Julie, Julie, do you love me? Julie, Julie, Julie, do you care? Ahhhhhhh......Bobby Sherman.....

Yes, that was the Donny Osmond I remember....maybe even younger.....he's much better looking now, I think.

David Cassidy....."I think I love you, so what am I so afraid of, afraid that I'm not sure of, a love their is no cure for......I think I love you" Boy, am I regressing or what?

:love1: :rolleyes1  :rockband:

Hey Jazz- Is this true:

I remember Shaun Cassidy had that song "Hey Deanie" I loved as a little girl. I had a big crush on him.

But David Cassidy had "I Think I Love You" so I liked him too!!! ::yes::

Jindy, Yes it's fun to just reminisce......wouldn't it be fun to have a 70's revival show on the ship with the REAL David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman (who is now a member of the LAPD), Donny Osmond, etc. What a hoot !

Mark, you are a sick dude... :-)

Julie, Julie, Julie, do you love me? Julie, Julie, Julie, do you care?
Yeah, I think that sounds right. Lot's of high-F's (and I think we did it late in the show...).

Mark - are your two additions 'official'? If so shoot me their info again and I'll add them under your name.

-Jazz

Don't forget Andy Gibb! He was a cutie. I think David Cassidy is even better looking now than he was then!

I told my DW that men get better looking with age and this proves it!

Welcome Singing Tink. I think we met you on the April 17th cruise.
Our cats want you to know that the picture isn't anything like the things real cats like. They smoke pipes and drink nothing but toilet water.

Andy if you go over the handle bars you'd have more time to post on the thread and make magnets and iron ons.

Lynn I remember those songs. My two older DDs were busy listening to them and arguing over who was cuter. Of course the oldest one was a Richard Hatch and Randy Mantooth fan. Battlestar Gallactica and Adam 12.

Okay enough I still think JPGR were the best.

Talk to you all tomorrow. Estelle

OK, well maybe it's time for me to admit something a little scary....

I had the BIGGEST crush on Bowzer from Sha-Na-NA when I was little!!! :rotfl: Does anybody besides me even know who that is???

I loved him, John Travolta and the Cassidy's. I was born in '74, so as you can imagine - when I say I was really little - I mean it!! My mom loved all sorts of different types of music and watched a lot (maybe too much) of TV; so I kind of picked up some favorites along the way.

One thing I really hated that she always watched was that show "Love American Style". Whenever I'd hear that music and see the opening credits with the fireworks, I'd run out of living room. (Somehow, I don't think I was allowed to watch it anyway.) Hard to imagine anything back then was risque!

My other favorite was "The Muppet Show" because they always had those "special" musical guest stars. (Like John Denver and Mac Davis :rotfl: ).

Oh and "Happy Days"! That show made me wish I was Joan Jett!!

Ok, enough!!! Have a nice weekend!

Jazzman- It's "official" in the sense that I put their deposit on my credit card. It's not official enough that I'd let my TA split up the rooms. I had to have 2 rooms across from each other in order to move. If they don't go, I didn't want my kids down the hall somewhere!

The additional people are my sister-in-law, Gina, and her then to be 8 yr old son Christopher (CJ).

Jazz, what instrument did or do you play??

Mark

OK - I've added them to your group. Count stands at 397 - we need to shake 3 more out of the bushes!

I'm a trumpet player.

-Jazz

Thanks Jazz-

BTW- You had to see this coming:

Trumpet jokes
Q: How many lead trumpet players does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Fifty. One to do it and the others to stand around and say, "I could do that better.

Q: What do lead trumpet players use for birth control?
A: Their personality.

Q: What is the difference between a trumpet soloist and King Kong?
A: King Kong is more sensitive.

Q: What's the difference between trumpet players and government bonds?
A: Government bonds eventually mature and earn money.

The best recording of the Haydn Trumpet Concerto is Music Minus One.

Q: How to trumpet players traditionally greet each other?
A: "Hi. I'm better than you."

Q: How do you know when a trumpet player is at your door?
A: The doorbell shrieks!

Mark

OK, I hate to break up the Osmond Family Fun Feast but... :teeth:

We've added Mark & Sandra to the"Bringing the Magic Home" Cruise Site at ThreeCircles.net and also added pictures for Jazzman and Ehtpnt.

Wow. Isn't that a colorful post?! :)

Oh, and since we're all about the pictures on this thread, I wanted to share one too.

This is the type of thing I have to deal with when I am trying to access the Dis Boards or make changes to ThreeCircles.net. The little beast in the picture, which was taken this afternoon, is one of our five cats. Can you believe the nerve? :teeth:

OK, now back to the Osmonds... :teeth:

Thanks Jason- We might be changing rooms, not sure yet but I'll let you know. Also by august 2005 it will be our 3rd cruise (sorry for not letting you know)

Jazz- Thanks for some new tangents to go off to.

How many jazz musicians does it take to change a light bulb?
1. None. Jazz musicians can't afford light bulbs.
2. "Don't worry about the changes. We'll fake it!"

In an emergency a jazz trumpeter was hired to do some solos with a symphony orchestra. Everything went fine through the first movement, when he had some really hair-raising solos, but in the second movement he started going improvising madly when he wasn't supposed to play at all. After the concert the conductor came round looking for an explanation. He said, "I looked in the score and it said `tacit'--so I took it!"
