If all goes well, my DW and I will be taking the CA to FL cruise to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary with all you fine folk. We have cabin #2588 reserved. Since we are cruising in April 2005 to celebrate my 50th Birthday with our DD and my mom, we decided to do the August cruise for just the two of us. We were talking about going to Hawaii for our 30th Anniversary, but I think this would be more fun. Our DD will be staying with my mom in Florida, and will be there to greet us off the ship. Luckily DD doesn't start school until 9-8-05!!! This could be a dream cruise in the making!!!

I wasn't sure which 8-20-05 thread to reply to, so I replied to both of them.

With cruising in April 2005 for my 50th Birthday, I really couldn't afford anything more than a cat. 9. Besides, I'd rather be in a cat. 9, than standing on the PC locks waving to all of you as you sail by me!!! LOL!!!

Andy & Hazel CONGRATS! It would be sooo great to have you both on our same cruise! Bet everybody else here also feels like they already know you guys and your family.

Also, congrats on your 30th wedding anniversary, that is terrific! What a way to celebrate! We did Maui with our kids for our 20th two years ago, and though we loved that, look forward to a future anniversary trip by ourselves. We'd say go for this 14 day cruise versus Hawaii!

WOW, we probably will get to meet Verandah Man and Hazel!!!

I'm so pumped right now I can't fall off to sleep and it is nearly 1am here on the east coast. Good thing it is Saturday (is already here), no one has to be up early in the morning!!!

Yep Andy! Aren't Friday evenings GREAT, well early Saturday morning for you!!! We're going to sleep in tomorrow!

We'll it's only 10p.m. here, so we're going to go watch the taped Survivor from Thursday. Took dd age 9 & her best friend to see the new Mary Kate & Ashley movie this evening. Definitely a video movie, but the kids loved it.

Certainly can understand your excitement about your upcoming cruises! The CA to FL DCL is going to be history in the making, YAHOO!!! I've been dancing all week just thinking about it.

I feel GREAT!!! I had my first PT session Friday morning and walked out with NO PAIN at all. Just have to work on getting the strength built back up in my leg muscles and get the swelling down, other than that, I feel 10 years younger!!! It's amazing when the pain is taken away, how much better one feels!!! I still can't fall asleep, but I'm feeling better!!! LOL!!!

LOL!!! I think six extra pair will be enough!!! LOL!!!

I finally fell asleep about 2am this morning and woke back up at 7am, I will need to take a power nap this afternoon, that's for sure!!! DW and I have never been on a vacation by ourselves since we adopted our DD, and to take this cruise and celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary, this is exciting to say the least!!!

Rae is already booked for this cruise as well, I have been in touch with her, one BIG PARTEE INDEED!!! I've already sent Rae a link to this thread!!!

If it wasn't for fellow DIS'er Maleficent59(Sarah), Hazel and I wouldn't have gotten a ressie in. Since I was still so sick on Wednesday from having my knee surgery the day before, Sarah booked this cruise for us. We didn't find out about it until it was already booked. Thanks again Sarah, you are a sweetheart!!! Now, all Hazel and I have to do, is pay for it, LOL!!!

Andy, am I finally going to meet you? I'm glad to hear you are coming! When the time gets closer let me know what kind of airfare you find. Southwest flies out of Philly now and you can purchase one way tickets which I think will be the most reasonable.

Welcome to Andrew Derek from the UK! What a trip it will be for you!

I can't remember if I posted anything about our sailing party but it will be me, my husband, my daughter who will be 8 and my son who will be 11. There is another DISer going that I know about but he hasn't posted yet. I'm sure he will soon though.

I don't remember who the original poster for this thread was, but if you don't mind could you edit your original post and list all the folks sailing?
