Dan, I'm so glad to see that sense of humor returning. This silent auction on board could really turn into something. Hey, maybe Mark would add that clothing item from his most recent picture as a silent auction item as well. Now, wouldn't that be a hoot?

Only if he models it.

Nancy,

So sorry for all your family's hardships.

:grouphug:

Prayers and Pixie Dust!

MJ - I always enjoy when you post the pictures of your beautiful family but today I am bummed that I have no girls to buy party dresses and tiaras for! Wonder what all my guys would think if I showed up to dinner in a tiara? Actually I know for a fact they would throw me overboard :worried:

Having one of your children celebrate their birthday the day before yours seems to push your birthday to the side, but that is fine with me. Ever since Amy was born, we all tend to forget about my birthday and concentrate on hers! I'd rather forget about the whole thing!!!!Denise

Yes, I know how you feel. Joy was born two days after our first wedding anniversary and she has been my excuse for missing our anniversary every since! For years, I truly spent so much time planning and worrying about her special day, I totally forgot ours!

Strange that I never forgot - was that a man thing, or fear, or the reminder prominently displayed on every calendar in the house :confused3 :rotfl2: :confused3

There have been a lot of tragedies lately here in our group and it makes me so happy to see everyone pulling for everyone else. We are all TRUE friends!

Sorry to post a downer on the thread, but we truly need the good thoughts!!

Nancy, Loads and loads of good thoughts to all your family from this side of the Atlantic. We hope the fates are kind and everyone has good resolutions.

Pam

Just a quick general question: Amanada, what is pinkeye? And good luck with the lasik. I'd love to have good, if not perfect, vision, but am so squeamish when it comes to eyes - any blood and guts doesn't bother me, but eyes.....ugggghhh.

Pam

Prayers for all those who are going through travails right now... Mel and Bob, Nancy, Dan, and anyone else. Our group has had its share of personal trials this past year, starting with EmmasGrammy's tragedy!

On a brighter note, Mary and Amanda are recuperating right now from their Lasik. Mary is doing fine, and the last we heard from Amanda was some discomfort but OK. Naturally, Mary woke up this morning with a cold, but was ok for the procedure. I saw Addie with her dad, and she looked fine. If she had pink eye it cleared quickly.

Some very bad consequences of the surgery, though! Found out the "patient" isn't allowed to cook, vacuum, do laundry, or mow the lawn for an eternity!!! This is not a procedure that women should be allowed to have! Something about no sex in there too! Sure sounds like a conspiracy to me!

Pink eye = conjunctivitis. An infection of the eye children frequently get. Worst part - highly contagiuos.
