If anyone feels like chatting for a bit, I've got some time before dinner.

Lynn, were you at the Sophisticated Dance Competition in Woonsocket, RI? We were at that one today! Heather's group got a Gold, but other groups from her studio got some high golds, so we were all very proud. Are you going to one in Springfiled, MA the last weekend in April? If so, we may see you there!

We just started doing all this dance competition stuff, but it seems everyone wins an award of some kind. At this one, the lowest "grade" was silver, the highest was Platinum. We left the house at 7 am and got home at 3:30 PM to watch her group do a 3 minute dance routine! Luckily, Heather was on at 11:30 and then they gave the morning awards. There were other groups on this afternoon that won't be done until 9 tonight.

Did anyone have trouble getting into the other site last night for chat? Neither Jazz nor I could get in, so that is why we weren't there. I checked today and I got in no problem.

1 1/2 weeks until vacation!

Yes, the world of dance competition and it's strange award system. Robin, you cracked me up with the Solid Gold Dancers....I remember that !!! But no, it's nothing like that. In today's "got to make everyone feel special" world, they do give an award to absolutely every team. However, the awards are based on a point system which you must earn while you are dancing. The judges score you and the final score is tallied and that determines your point level, thus what "award" you will get. The first competition that we attended the awards started at Honorable Mention and went up to Ultimate Gold. ( so it's Honorable Mention, Bronze, High Bronze, Silver, High Silver, Gold, Ultimate Gold). This weekends competition started at Silver and went up to Supreme. (Silver, High Silver, Gold, High Gold, Supreme) Anyhow, most people are happy with any level at all, it's the fun of the dance and the whole atmosphere of the competition.
No, we weren't in Woonsocket, RI. We were in Worcester, MA this weekend. Our next competition is down by Robin in North Haven, CT the weekend of 4/23. We don't have a competition in Springfield. We seem to be on different competition loops. Too bad, it would be so cool to meet up with you at one of them! Then we can languish together for hours upon hours. At least we could talk cruise !!! To top it all off, at the very end of the competition today, Mary's team won a trophy for Top 5 overall score. Although we spent many hours in a too warm auditorium, it was worth it in the end. Glad to be home though !

Depending on finances -- Benita & I are planning to go to the meet. Still have to send in our paperwork. Before the cruise we have 2 weddings - one in June & the other in July.

When we bought our house in '99 our brother-in-law got us a brand new water heater as a housewarming present(he works in heating & air conditioning business). Then - when they were installing it -- the workers dropped the old one down the stairs (concrete). He almost convinced the installers that my nephew who is very heavy sleeper and didn't move - was actually a dead body in the basement.

OKay maybe Im dumb but on the disney site it shows 4 stops and on other sites such as ineedavacation.com/disneycruise/LimitedEdition.html and mousetyme.com/DCLNewCruise.html they are showing a short stop on day 7 (7am till 1pm) at Puerto Quetzal. Can anyone confirm this?

Also are all our stops cabo, acapulco, curaco, and castaway docked stops?

Puerto Quetzal was dropped from the itenerary by DCL a LONG time ago. So yes our only port days are: cabo, acapulco, curaco, and castaway.

Pauline, that stop has been dropped from our itinerary. We will be spending all night in Acopulco instead.
