Tracey, I even read the part about Cuba to Phil. He looked at me and said..."We're doing WHAT?!?" Then I had to tell him April Fools. Thanks for the chance to get him for once. Usually he gets me.

We are going away for a week so behave in any manner that seems appropriate. Unfortunately not Disney. We are going to North Carolina and then driving up the Skyline Drive thru Virginia and then home. Ten days to enjoy something approaching Spring. and no or .

I also think of Merry Poppins when I see your ID, Katy Nana, you know. Then that makes me think of Elsa Lanchester in an episode of the Twilight Zone, but we won't go there. Anyway enough of my drivel, welcome aboard!

I would love to see Cuba. I know there are some great beaches, and it is a tourist destination for the rest of the world.

What is the situation now for Americans to vacation and visit Cuba? Are you allowed to vacation there? I read about some people that were charged recently, but I think they were taking old OTC pharmaceuticals down to give to the poor and the U.S. govt charged and fined them.
I know there are many Europeans and Canadians that vacation there.

Last I knew, we (Americans) get into trouble if we go to Cuba. I know that there was a couple (they are authors from Vermont) that went there to write some sort of travel book and came back and got into some sort of trouble. It was a couple of years ago, so I don't know exactly what kind of trouble they got into.

THe only legal way for an American to visit Cuba is for humanitarian purposes. The way that most people go there is via cheating, take a vacation to say Denmark and take a Cuban tour from there, return to Denmark and then come home. However, since 9/11, iommigration is taking a close look at passports, and if they see a Cuban stamp, you can best believe that you will be subject to some questions, and most likely a large fine, perhaps even having your passport pulled. Now I don't want to open the political can of worms, but the embargo that the US has led in order to hasten the removal of Castro from power has certainly been one of the least successful ventures in history. And while CUba is still a third world country in many ways, our keeping things from them hasn't made a whole lot of difference. Today, a US citezen can leaglly travel to every country in the world except Cuba. Even Viet Nam is on the OK list. Sometimes I just have to wonder.

If we do end up there though, as Sargent at Arms, I will see to it that all proper protocals are observed!

At least 1 bus will leave no later then 9AM, this will put you at the airport before 10AM, the other bus's departure time has not yet been decided. As soon as you know your flight info let me know so we can coordinate which side of the airport you need to be dropped off at.

I need a little help from a computer savvy cruiser. Can someone please send me an e-mail (kcashner@hotmail.com), making it look like it came from DCL (like attach a DCL logo or something) and say that they require the Hepatitis A shot...please....
I KNOW that they do not require the shot, but I have a teen. I want her to have the shot, and she is insisting that the only way she will do it is if DCL says she has to. I'm not above lying at this point!!!! I've already had mine, and it is not a big deal at all.

On the positive side, her passport came today and is being proudly shown off at youth group tonight.
