Hello everyone. Hope your day is going well. I've caught a virus and even Airborne and Zicam are not doing the trick. I think it is strep throat. Thus, I've been very crabby today. Well, that all changed when the mail brought a package today from Peter. I'm sure you already know how kind and thoughtful he and Jenn are. Peter read that I obtained tickets for "Wicked" in June. He offered to send me the music. It arrived today, along with a CD of "Wishes" too!!! What a nice surprise! Brian is excited too, as his passionate hobby is to make DVDs of our trips. He loves using special Disney music.

Thanks you very much Peter!!! It really brightened my day, and will bring lots of joy to my family and I for a long time to come!!!

My Daughter and I did meet DEN VAl and her two super sweet girls we all had a great time. Would love to do it again VAl.
That would be fun! Maybe the zoo? We haven't been there in a while. Hopefully it will get warm again soon! I'm glad you're getting the newsletter, too. I already added you to the map :flower:

:flower: Konnichi wa, Makorin! :flower:

We will be honoured to meet you. My husband is Japanese-Canadian, but unfortunately doesn't speak much Japanese. However, his obasan will be travelling with us and she is fluent in both Japanese and English.

Hi Barbara  Sorry that you're getting sick - what an awful way to start Spring Break.

Hopefully, you'll start to feel better quickly. Take care!

Thanks for the heads up Bob. The brotherhood must stick together to fight this insidious malady!! The lientery that could ensue would be fatal!!!!

Cheers,

Actually, I did notice how the vast majority of cruisers do indeed come from "Blue States." :)

Interesting... Very interesting.

Went to Disney yesterday for the day. VERY busy because of Spring Break and the holiday. (75 minute wait for Rockin' Rollercoaster!)

Anyway, Lights, Motors, Action! is a great new addition to Disney-MGM. I really didn't think I would like it all that much as I'm not really into cars but it was impressive! Especially the ending.

We also skipped over to the Magic Kingdom and experienced It's a Small World for the first time since the refurbishment. Looks good and makes you wonder why they waited so long to fix it up.

Val: I love the maps!

Barbara: Hope you feel better soon.

I am very out of the loop. What is Wicked? I have gathered that it is a Broadway-type musical. What is it about?

75 minutes! WOW!

News like that makes it easier to convince myself that it was a good thing we did not go over Easter Weekend! OK who am I kidding! Even people in my building who saw me this AM remarked, "What No Disney!?"

It's killing me!LOL

Well we have a May Quick Trip to look forward to! IASW is my first ride! :cheer2: Can't wait to see the new show! DD and I love Cars!

Barb - Wow if Zicam isn't helping, then it is a nasty virus! Get Well Soon!

Is it basically the same? My DD still likes It's a small World in DL better. We will be in WDW middle of May. We will be checking out all the newest rides. I am excited about Soarin' because I think that is my favorite ride in CA :cheer2:

Janet--

As the true Disney fan that you are I'm sure you would have enjoyed the parks despite the crowds. However, it *was* exceptionally busy yesterday and I'm sure it's going to continue through the end of the holiday weekend.

Roxann--

Having never been to Disneyland I can only compare their IASM to ours through pictures I've seen. The major changes that they have made to ours here at WDW include the following:

1. It looks as if almost all of the sets were removed and given a re-work. The paint is more vivid and bright; the animatronics worked great; and a few new additions were made throughout the attraction.

2. The loading area of the attraction changed dramatically. They removed the exterior wall separating the queue area and loading area from the Fantasy Land courtyard. So, now, as you walk past IASW you can actually look down into the queue area from the street. The loading area was also re-painted in gold and white and has new sets. The clock face from DLR is now included, although I don't believe it is on the same scale.

3. The sound throughout the attraction was re-worked and it really sounds much better.

4. New boats!

Oh, and even this attraction has a sizeable wait!

One other thing I noticed yesterday was the staff from Disneyland Hong Kong. It appears that Disney is training Hong Kong staff at WDW as many of the CMs wear little red ribbons under their name tags that say so.

Does anyone have the CANON EOS 20D DIGITAL CAMERA and would like to provide a review?

I have put it in my cart twice today (and then close the window) Dell home has two coupons making this camera (with lens) 1300.00

Thanks!

Sounds like a nice price for the kit, Robin. I would say go for it! Would make a nice toy for the cruise and for the Spring Photo Contest

Denine - "Wicked" is a fairly new Broadway musical that tells the story of the good witch Glinda and the bad witch Elphaba, before the point where the Wizard of Oz starts. The two girsl meet in school and become friends, although they are very different from each other. It is about becoming strong women, and dealing with being "different" (ie: green). There are some inside jokes from Wizard of Oz, and the music is fantastic. We took our 16 yr old DD to see it on Broadway in January and she is now obsessed with it (prior to that she was obsessed with Phantom and Cats). The tour is starting in Toronto and then I believe it moves to Los Angeles, because Barbara mentioned she had tickets. It will make you laugh and cry, and I feel it gives a very powerful message about tolerance. It is a fantastic show.

Regarding It's a Small World, I remember seeing it at the World's Fair in NY. The clock in the front was the big draw, especially whenever it struck the hour. I also loved seeing it later at DL. I am glad that WDW is putting in a little of that clock because to me that was the best part of the attraction!

Denise :)

Update on the "Ship of Fools Cast & Crew" shirt:

We're going to handle the "Ship of Fools Cast & Crew" shirt a bit differently. If you are listed on the other web site, your screen names will be included on the shirt as of now. (For those of you who have more than one screen name and who have e-mailed the names, those too will be included.)

If you wish to be added to the shirt, please send in the info to the other site so you can both me listed and have your name added to the shirt!

We are going to have to have a "cut off" date for additions to the shirt at some point. Not sure when that will take place but we'll keep you all informed!
