Someone asked if they put the names on the golden mickey hats. Yes they do. We went yesterday to get our free AP mousepad and I saw tons of people wearing the golden hats (in fact that was the only color I saw people wearing). And most had names on the back.

Also wanted to mention that they will now turn a mickey hat into a minnie hat. I don't remember the cost (I think it was .75 or 1, no more than $2, though we did it a while aog) they will attach a red with white polka dot bow with a flower between the ears to make it look like minnie. It's really cute (if I can find my daughters I'll post a pic).

When we were there yesterday Lindsay said she wanted a golden minnie hat. I did see one like this, though it doesn't look as cute on the golden hats as it does on the black ones.

Also you won't have any problem finding them, they sell then right when you walk into the park. The pin cart on mainstreet has one whole side devoted to golden hats.

DH got a call today from the headhunter in FL, they want to do a second interview with him by phone tomorrow and then if that goes well fly him down to FL to go over the logistics. Headhunter confided that they have narrowed the search down to DH and 3 others.

Please say a prayer that things go well for Bob.

Since I don't get to chat often, make that almost never, I don't know whether any one came up with a mascot for the cruise. It was mentioned in the last news letter. I have a suggestion. Our first cruise in 2002 was over Halloween. I bought, cause I thought it was cute, a Mickey beanie in costume. It was only available on the boats. He is dressed as Captain Hook. I would post a photo but don't think we have the capability. I can mail Tracey a photo and she could post it in the next news letter. Thats' if there is any interest. You all let me know.

Spent a lovely day at the Philly Zoo. Spring has come to the zoo. They have several areas blocked off cause Mommys' are taking care of new babies. Even the snakes were active. The Polar Bears had a large crowd because one of them was trying to balance a large blue ball on his nose. Couldn't quite make it but fun to watch anyway.

Renee I know about the tire mulch. The stuff is really neat. We have it in the play yards at both centers. Works really well. One of the kids fell off one of the jungle gyms and landed on the stuff. No damage. And it somehow manages not to get hot in the summer even though it is mostly black. We do have to keep the toddlers out of it. Or watch them very carefully. They seem to have an overwhelming desire to eat it or at least chew on it... Yuccckk!

I want a gold Mickey hat too. Looks really neat.

The wife stared at him. "What the hell is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?"

The husband calmly replied, "I wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving with you in the car."

Mel--that is too funny about the eggs.
Ever since I had Addison--I think that's how I sound to Shawn when he's driving!!! He keeps telling me to bring a book or sit in the back (which I have done before and it does tend to calm me down).
I think Dr. Phil would say I have a "control" issue--I say my husband STINKS at driving. He's one of those guys that brakes at the last minute......

I got the Survivor shirts from artapart.com, and they look good. They put the image on like Cafepress.com so it's not hard and looks almost screenprinted. These shirts do run LARGE. I got Lenny an XL and it looks like it's 2XL.
They use Jerzees brand for adults and Gildan Activewear for youth sizes instead of Hanes, which could be the reason for the size differences. All in all, I'm happy with the way they look.

My credit card was also charged for the Survivor logo from Cafepress.com. When I asked them, I was told I should receive those shirts sometime this week. I'll post how they are when I get them.

I got the ones from Artapart.com on gray shirts and Cafepress.com on white ones so at least they'll be different.

Mark-Glad to see you received my payment. I sent you a PM with our flight info.

All 5 of us are flying with Southwest Airlines. No other airline has tried to match SW prices. I decided not to wait because I would be MORE upset if I had lost out on a good airfare price as opposed to getting more FF miles with Delta.

So, My check list is almost complete. Cruise paid, airfare paid, REAS paid, bus from port to MCO paid. Just need to book excursions when they open them up to book. I need shuttle from LAX to HISP (still) and rental car for driving around Orlando for the afternoon of Sept. 3rd (plane leaves after 6:00 pm). Any good (NON-WDW) things to do or see for an afternoon while in Orlando?
