Wow, thanks to DU for the wine tasting sponsorship.

And of course, thanks to Tracy for all the work she's done in organizing this!

Welcome to all the newbies, too.

For those of you who didn't joing the chat last night, we announced the sponsor for the Wine Tasting Party. A BIG THANK YOU TO DREAMS UNLIMITED TRAVEL :cheer2: :cheer2:

Dreams Unlimited Travel, has agreed to pay for the food for our Wine Tasting Party. I have also received word that they will be taking care of our friends on the Westbound cruise as well.

I know I speak for everyone on the Eastbound Repo Cruise when I say thank you John and Pete!

Tracy
Ship of Fools Sommelier and Wine Tasting Coordinator

A Big Thank You From The WESTBOUND Cruisers
Great Work Tracy...

2 big thumbs up for all you Wine-O Fools.
Thanks Dreams.

I don't get much time to post but I am guilty of lurking.
I've been busy working to pay for this cruise, well actually we are going to cash in a life ins. policy of DH to pay for the cruise so I'm working hard to making spending money. Oh! don't worry we've got him covered with a better policy.
Also been busy working on this old house. Yes, STILL for those of you who know me. I'm putting in a lot of Gingerbread touches to boost the resale value, hopefully. We're not looking to sell now but maybe down the road, I would love to move to a warm climate.

Hey anyone starting a cruise diet? I'd like to take off about 25 more pounds before this cruise. Two weeks on the Magic with all the tempting goodies will pack many lbs on my bum.
Well I've got to keep it short today I've got DD home sick, just a cold, she'll live.
You all have a great day!

Ginger, come see us on the Sisterhood Thread. It's in the Cruise Meets area. There are a few looneyheads lurking over there, but we are all trying to "get healthy" before the cruise. For most that means lose weight! We offer support and tips to help out. A good share of us are doing Weight Watchers, but there are others there too. Come join us!

I am going to add to the numbers. We are accounted for, but we have decided to bring my 4 year old granddaughter with us. There is going to be one huge number of Dis'ers on board.

Patty--

Were you able to add your granddaughter onto the sailing? Great news!

Marsha--

Please put us down for two lanyards too!

Marsha just to confirm....
Do these lanyards actually say "Ship of Fools" on them? or is the plain lime green lanyard?
Also how do you want to do payment for this? I will send you cash as a money order in U.S. funds is gonna cost more than the lanyards, and if I write you a cheque on a Canadian account with "US Funds" written on it you're going to have more fun than a barrel of monkeys with it at the bank. Only other option is Canadian Tire money :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Morning all (nothing good about it). We're still doing "research" trying to figure out how to get from Long Beach airport to the GC. DCL is only doing transfers from LAX (if anyone is interested it's $25 for each leg). Got quotes for a towncar and it's around $80. I'll have to see what type of shuttles are available. There's still plenty of time to plan - we still have awhile. Anyone have DL guidebooks? Are they worth the money if we're only going to be there for 2 days?

Marsha - please put us down for 2 lanyards. Let us know what we owe and how to pay.

Back to work. :rotfl2:

Welcome newbies :earboy2: Don't forget to check out page one of the thread for the t-shirt info and other useful information. There are lanyards available too from Marsha at a minimal cost!

Thanks DU for the sponsership of the winetasting :Pinkbounc

JHemond - we are using the Karmel shuttle from Long Beach to get to HOJO's - on the 17th. Then taking the bus to the port with the rest of the fools.

And to second Eileen - lets get rolling on getting the late diner linked for our own section of the dining room. :wizard:

What's the Karmel shuttle? Does it go to the Grand Californian? We're already on the bus with the fools, so we've got that part covered. We're just trying to figure out how to get to the GC from Long Beach.

Regarding airport shuttles, the company that is providing the Hojo to port bus also does airport shuttles form all the airports to the Anaheim hotels. For a group of 5 of us from LAX to Amaheim is running about $80 for an exclusive use van. They have other options based on group size, etc., and are highly recommended by HoJo. Try their site, www.karmel.com

Thanks. I did some searching and I found that a few minutes ago. It looks like it would be a good price. It said around $40 for 2 with a shared van (which isn't like the shared vans that Mears has - they only make 2 stops max and they don't circle the airport looking for people to pick up without reservations).

Lanyards will be Lime Gren and will be printed "Ship of Fools, 2005" thus creating a unique collectors item, sure to bring mega bucks on EBay in the near future, say the day after we return to port! As far as price, right now I will be ordering 100, so the cost is $2.05 USD each. I won't be ordering them until July, and I hope that there will be enough interest to order more. I am going to open a seperate bank account to handle the funds. When I get that done, I will figure out how I want to get the $ to me. Tyre money will be fine. As will be cash! I think Tracy has the right idea, along with the payment if you will send an envelope, preaddressed and stamped, I can mail them out before we all leave. Or I will give them out at the hotel, at the port and at the DIS meet. For the foriegners (Canada, UK, Jazz) that will probably be a better option.

Opinions please...............should they say "Ship of Fools, 2005" or "Bringing the Magic Home, 2005"?
