August 20, 2005 - L.A. to Port Canaveral - Eastbound Repo Cruise - The SHIP OF FOOLS Part 2

I don't mean to interupt your wine talk...
but what an ordeal i went thru tonight. Got back from the hospital about an hour ago...My DH and DS (7), Alex went to get a haircut and i went grocery shopping. When i got home, i was surprised that Bob and Alex weren't home and there was a message from Bob that he and Alex were in the hospital. (i didn't bring my cell phone with me this time, of course) What happened was Alex tripped and fell on the sidewalk causing a gash on the side of the forehead, just below the hairline. My estupido husband, allowed Alex to still play the gameboy while he was walking back to the car and was concentrating on some Pokomon game instead of watching ahead...and boomed he fell!!There were lots of blood... My poor boy!! Had a shot and stitches. He is ok now, resting and watching TV.
Ok, back to regular programming... I can now use that taste of wine now!!..Spit, swallow, gargle, whatever you want to do, is fine with me...My DH HATES wine, but i am making him go anyway!!! He rather do a beer tasting instead....
Mark, i only drink very expensive wine!! Don't give me any of that crap!! LOL!!

I just got off the phone with a very nice DCL CM. I was checking to see if my TA had waitlisted me for Early Seating, they had closed and I didn't want to forget tomorrow. Anyway, this CM is also on this sailing, and she told me that Roy Disney and his wife will be on this sailing, "in his room"!! Isn't that totally cool!! Enjoy sailing with true DCL royalty!

Melinda, I hope Alex is ok. Bob will enjoy the wine tasting, we've had other beer lovers that have had fun too. I usually try to bring something that everyone will like. I'd love some Muscat from Temecula!!!

Darlene, I was going to post that before, I didn't realize that NJ had wineries. We have a couple good ones here in Wisconsin and a couple mostly fruit ones.

How many posts do you have to have to get custom avatars? I have got a great one to use from the "other" boards.

Tracy, wineries in WISCONSIN! I must admit I know very little about your home state and certainly didn't imagine wineries. Cool! This tasting is sounding more interesting every minute.

Why, you may be asking, should you care about this? Well, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is a week-long racing event that is considered to be the "superbowl" of yacht racing. In 2005 it takes place Sep. 5-11, as always, in Italy.

That might be a bit close to a two-week cruise if Disney plans to compete in the cup this year.

kmiles, dh is on a mission to edit our past video tapes and put them on to DVDs with fancy cases. He said he's looking forward to joining us soon...he's just single minded right now, lol!

PS Just did the "happy dance" reading about Roy Disney joining our cruise!!! Wouldn't that be something?!

Dh and I tried something new tonight. Our ds is almost 14. So, dh and I went out to eat and ds watched dd for the first time. Was a success! Mind you, we used the cell phones to check in and ds got paid what we pay our usual sitter...so that was a good incentive. Still has to do his other "family" chores for no pay though...but, this was extra! Yahoo for a date! Dh and I had a drink and toasted ya' all!

Someday, Bob and I will be able to do that!! Brianne is pretty mature for her age but not yet. I am still afraid to leave her with her brother in this big house. I won't have a good time, and will be worrying about them all evening and drive Bob crazy!!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts regarding Alex. He is fine. He is complaining of a headache though...He is watching the Disney movie(Blackbeard Ghost) and is lying right here on the couch with Bob and I ...Using my laptop now.
