Also, i am trying to take off the 1st countdown time off my signature and it comes back as "Your signature can not be longer than 500 characters". What is up with that??? I am erasing it, not adding, and i keep getting that repsonse!! in fact, i erased the whole thing and it still comes up with that....
I do not, repeat, DO NOT like this new set up....

Also, what is that green dot, purple dot on the left side way below our avator???? Some of us has green and others are purple,,,I always got the green. And some of you have the exclamation point around a trianuglar shape, what is that???

Melinda, I tried to change my signature and got the same message. I even tried to set it up with the DIS directions for the countdown timers and I got the error. I also made changes and saved it and it didn't make the changes. Don't know what to tell you.

The green dots indicate you are online, the grey or purple mean offline. The exclamation point around the triangle is for reporting a post to the mod. if you place your mouse cursor over those items and pause, it will tell you what they mean. Hope this helps!

I've been meaning to PM you - would you like some help updating the Index again? Despite all the "chatter" we do here, I really like having the Index available for "real" information and do refer to it! However, I know it's a huge job keeping it up-to-date so I'm willing to help again over the holidays.

On the tech page this is one of the things they still haven't got fixed yet Melinda. You can't change avatars, update sig files and of course the search feature still doesn't work.

Not true. I was able to get it to work yesterday. Three ways to search that I can see. Quick search on top, advanced search or search by poster's name (if you click on the poster's user name, you can search by their posts, send PMs, e-mails, etc.). Some of the new stuff is cool. Can't wait until it's all working as intended!

Mark, Mark, Mark, Ok I admit, that was pretty dumb for me to post the e mail address. i was in a Disney mood and was thinking magical and happy at the time. Just keep a low profile about it will you please!!!!! No porn here, (god forbid!!) but i have been getting e mail of poeple with strange names from different countries that wants me to be an heir to the big bucks they supposely have because they are dying!!! I was getting that before i even left. There was a newspaper article about it in Fla the other day. Apparently i am not alone. Good thing i have a spam and security on my e mail address!
So Mark, if you got SPAMMED, PM me instead...LOL!!! (better to be spammed than zapped!!!) LOL!!!!

Melinda, just kidding as usual. Always a word of caution about posting any sensitive info anywhere online. We do kid each other a lot here and if I thought that you posted something that could cause you grief I would have told you. Last year some other person was also in a 'Disney' mood and posted the dates that she was staying at the AllStar Movies. She had recent pictures of her kids and their names. She even went as far as complaining about being worried when she lets them go to the food court by themselves. I pm'd her and explained that some crazy out there now knows her kids names, location and how she doesn't always supervise them. She responded that she never realized it and was lulled into a false sense of security by the friendliness of these boards. Better to be safe!! I will e-mail you our info later...Mark

Hey, I answer those poor Nigerian emails. I always tell them I have a huge settlement from a lottery or insurance and that they should contact me right away with their real name, bank account numbers, PINs, Bank Routing numbers, ect so that I can transfer the funds to them. Sometimes I don ask for that untill a few emails have gone back and forth.As far as my email, I have several addresses. One I have only used for Disney stuff, it gets the most spam, then Yahoo which gets a lot, but they stick it in the bulk file (and PLEASE, check your bulk before deleting, good things slip in there sometimes) and then I have a few others that I don't often use. I don't care if the world has any of my email addresses, spammers use autogenerated lists, much like auto dialers used by telemarketers. I just wish that I had the annatomy needed for most of them, I could make someone very happy with the enlargemnts offered!
