Aw, you just gotta suck up to one of the other FOOLS on the ship that has a verandah (or do it from deck 4 or 9)

I really didn't think the damage was all that noticeable on CC. The vegetation was brown and of course the dredging was going on but really nothing all that bad. Comparing our pictures over that last few trips we could only "see" it in the vegetation. Denine, what did you think?

I guess i notice more in details...But overall generally speaking, it is not bad...

Anyway, everyone is asleep. Taking a stroll around the ship. There are lots and lots of newbies. Ran into lots of people at CC and haven't met anyone who was a repeater. My DD met some friends in the clubs who were all newbies. That explains why this cruise is very quiet...

Also Fools, , i was thinking the whole cruise here is that HOW IN THE WORLD WE GOING TO PUT ALL THOSE SUITCASES FOR 2 WEEKS!!!! i mean, for this trip alone, i bought 5 suitcases, one for each of us and smaller one for bathroom stuff. Luckily, for this cruise, i only bought in 2 suitcases on board plus one bathroom suitcases and the 2 others, as well as some packages we bought in Disney last week, are in the rental car on the port parking lot...BUT, for repo cruise, we have to bring EVERYTHING, and i mean EVERYTHING!! (nothing can be left behind) SO.......My DH and I went to the guest services tonight and asked if all possible that if we can empty the suitcases and pack away all our clothes in the stateroom and put those empty suitcases in the holding area where the housekeeping are...They told us they never thought of that for the 2 weeks cruise. So... they told us to talk to someone specific (Andy, Asst cruise director) tomorrow and ask if they can accomodate us...I hope so...there is NO WAY i will have all 5 suitcases plus a garment bag which i will bring for the repo cruise (for all those nice dresses) in the stateroom!! I need the room to move around since if you think about it, the stateroom will be our home for 2 whole weeks!!!. I don't know about you, but i HATE clutter!! And not all my suitcases fit under the bed either...Will let you know what Andy have to say about that..

Well, going to bed now...it is late...I can't beleive i am getting off after tomorrow already...but at least i go back to WDW!!!

Since you'll be vacationing before the cruise, maybe you can ship all the souvenirs back home before the cruise? I plan to use the laundry facilities while I'm there...have taught DD how to do laundry so I don't have to do it all this time . None of my suitcases fit under the bed; they nest together and I was able to stuff them in the closet. Since we have the same stateroom I know this will still be the situation.

Walk around deck 4 for me once! Wish I could be cruising too.

I also plan on doing laundry on the ship, I don't see a way that we can't. We also nest our suitcases and put them in the closet (the carseat also goes in there). This way they're not in the room taking up valuable space.

We are going to also nest our suitcase & hope they fit on the bed. Usually on the seven day cruise we bring 1 lg. suitcase each, 1 smaller suitcase (for souveniers (we nest them inside the bigger ones on the way down & spend a week at WDW before cruise) and 1 garmet bag. This time I know we are going to need at least 1 more garmet bag and will try to ship anything we buy at DL & DCA back home from the parks.

We are also planning to do laundry on the ship - bringing tablets & dryer sheets. I've read on some of the boards that the dryers take two cycles to dry and if you put the money in for both times at once it will continue going for the hour. Can anyone confirm.

DW and I discussed this and for undies and socks we'll do a load of wash. Remainder is going to be given to the crew to launder. I say that but DW "enjoys" washing so we'll see when we get onboard but we've spent all this money to relax and keeping your eye on a hot dryer to check laundry isn't my idea of fun.
The price list wasn't exorbitant so will get them to do it.

Benefits of solo travel - one rolling duffle with all the clothes I need for the 3 weeks I will be gone plus one carry on tote bag for the things that I won't pack due to spillage issues. I don't intend to take more than 1800 pictures so don't need the laptop to down load the media. I think I will be traveling light.

Ok, spoke with Andy...He said, they may be able to accomadate us with regard to suitcases depending on room in the holding area. When we board, we will ask the stateroom host and they will help us out as much as they can. The ship itself will be bring extra supplies and cargo for the 2 weeks so it really depends on how much room they have. He also told me that there will be at least 4 formal dinners events, a show every single night (lotta new ones) and gave me a secret that one of a new show is about Cinderella!! (Arlene, i immediatley thought of you!!) They are in process working right now of the planned activities for on board. He said it will be lot different than a regular cruise and to plan to bring extra suitcase for bringing home stuff...didn't eleaborate what.... he himself is HOPING to be a asst cruise director for the the repo cruise...He is waiting to hear from higher up. I hope he is...he is very very nice.

Ok, need to catch more rays...I don't want to dissapoint Grumbo!!! LOL!!

I agree with Scratch- I don't plan on doing laundry either. I've got Sandy to do that!!! Her sister doesn't realize that to get her "special" rate she had to agree to some conditions. One of which was to help her sister do the laundry!!

I hear another JGE service developing.

It'll fit right in with the "Sisters who wear Hoods" they can even have their Dis Wives Meet in the laundry room on deck 6.

There was noticeable vegetation damage, as in, a lot missing. There was an area by the ship, part of the dock, that was damaged. No buildings were damaged.
