Thanks guys, and I will enjoy the time with them. It gets so much harder once they are off at college (or out of it) so I do truly appreciate every chance I get to see them.

I don't know LeiLani.... DD18 is currently at home recovering from getting her tonsils removed and I'm about to ship her off to Iowa to see Deb. Deb seems to be the patient sort.

I know you're having a great time with the kids (although they're not really kids). Can't wait to see new pictures.

We currently have 7 cabins. 2 Anniversarys. 2 Birthdays. 9 Female Adults. 6 Male adults. 6 Girls under 20. 1 boy under 20.

I did some shopping over the weekend for Fish Extenders. No, I did not hit the liquor store because there didn't seem to be much interest in the "rum exchange" for adults. I got some really cool things though. I love planning this stuff out.

Now, all I have to do is the rental car from MCO to the port, and back.

Have you considered car service instead of renting? I've read about a place that was reasonable. This way, you don't have to pay for parking and I think the cost is even. I like the idea of not dragging my bags around too.

Alyssa has a dance recital this weekend, last day of school is on Tuesday, and then Britt, David, and I fly out to Miami on Wednesday. Crazy week but we will get through it.

Another weather update for here in Iowa - just because I know you all care. It was another year where we went straight from winter into summer - no spring! Last week the temps were in the 50's and this week they are in the 80's. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it being in the 80's but that is very warm for June in Iowa. Usually our spring is so nice with a slow increase in temps but the last 2 years we have hit the
80's in June. Oh well, I will just enjoy the warm weather because you never know what it might be like next week.

I hope we can find a place for a quick meet the first day so the kids can meet each other. I find the meeting at that time made all the difference. Plus there isn't much time on a shorter cruise if they don't hook up early.

We have a nice little group here on our cruise. If you read back through the posts you will see we are trying to plan a couple of DIS meets - one at WDW for those of us who will be there before the cruise and one on embarkation day. We also have a Fish Extender list going and I believe JMTStone is the keeper of the list so if you are interested in that you can send her a PM with your information.

Are there specific post numbers that you can direct us to - or can the information be repeated? I just don't have time to go back thru. I have a post right at the start of the thread (#6) I would be willing to update that one with all current info on the WDW meet, the sailaway meet and the FEs just so they are in one place. Or I can put a link to the posts that have the current information if those posters would keep them updated.

Either way, I think we need a central point.

I don't want to speak for Leilani, but I think we had talked about a DIS meet from 2 to 3 (before the sail-away party) because some folks have early dining and have to leave right away?

I think it is on Deck 11, but I can't remember what side of the ship?

Well I got an email from DCL saying my balance owing is finally zero so I'm now officially paid off!

I actually paid in full some time ago online by checking the little bubble next to the line that said to pay the full balance but they left it showing as a balance owing of one cent. I called that day and they said they would take care of it but it looks like they actually finally did. That .01 was driving me crazy!

Don't know how I missed all these last night so I am just going to do a quick post.

A quick update on us:

I go to the on-line check in.

It asks for our passport numbers. Great, I have to go and find them.

I dig around and found them in our home safe. So far, so good.

I open them up, and see
Date of expiration: May 15, 2011.

So, yesterday, we all headed down to the passport office. Kids had to apply in person because they younger than 16 when they got their last passports. We got it all done and the lady in the office assures us that we will get them in plenty of time.

OK, next scenario.
DH asks if I booked our air travel yet.

WHAT? I thought he was going to use his Frequent Flier miles and book them!
So, I get on the United website and FORTUNATELY, there are still lots of availability at the 50,000 mile level - none, of course, at the 25,000 mile level. Luckily, we have enough miles to swing it.

OK, so I think we are still coming!!
I've booked Radisson at the Port long time ago for the night before.

Now, all I have to do is the rental car from MCO to the port, and back.

Glad you got everything squared away. We finally got all of our plans in place so I feel much better. I am a planner so it bothers me when we don't have something planned or at least have an idea of what we are doing. I've also told Brittany she needs to put their passports in her purse when she gets home so they don't accidently get packed up and then they can't find them.

No they are not kids anymore, but it's hard to think of them as "young adults". As a matter of fact, they went out with a few of Brittany's friends for drinks last night and I had to play "mom" so I told them I would take them and then come and pick them up so they both could drink.

We have not really set up anything specific yet, there were just a few posts where we talked about options. One of them is the DIS meet on embarkation day they Deb mentioned. We are getting ready to go to dinner but I will see if I can firm some meets up this weekend and we can post them here. Then maybe you can put them on your #6 post so we have a specific place to send people for information.

Also, I saw that you posted on the teen thread. My daughter (Alyssa) is 15 and maybe we can hook her up with your granddaughter. Alyssa is trying to bring a friend but that's not looking good at the moment so I know she will want to "meet" some other teens before hand. We are also staying at BWV before the cruise so maybe we can get them together there. We will arrive on Sunday evening and I am not sure what we will be doing on Monday. Right now I am thinking I want to start at HS so we can check out the new Star Tours and then we will go from there. Maybe we can try to get them together. Is your granddaughter on Facebook? If so, we can exchange information by PM so hopefully they can chat some before the cruise.

That is crazy! I wouldn't wait that long for anything. It is Star Wars Weekends though so the crowds might be up for that. Hopefully we will hit HS at rope drop and make our way straight to Star Tours(ride or get a fastpass) and be done with it. If not, we will always be going back and can save it for then.

Nancy - I've finally had a chance to look back through the posts and it looks like we talked about DIS meet on page 18 & 19. We have not made any final decisions yet so I am going to post the options I came up with again and see what everyone thinks.

2. Meet at the lounge at BWV around 9:30 or 10pm and just see who shows up.

3. Have an afternoon meet either in a park or by the pool at the BWV.

I know some of you have already posted a reply about some of these and I am trying to keep a list but if you would like to reply again feel free.

2. One of the lounges around 2 or 3.

3. In addition - we will watch the sail away party on deck 12 (terminal side - which I believe should be starboard) if anyone wants to join us up there.

When I posted this before we got a few responses for the meet by Donald's pool and I think this might be the best option. We can either set the time for 2, 2:30, or 3pm.

Just let me know what you think and then we can make some final decisions.

This cruise left out on a Sunday where ours will leave on a Tuesday so the schedule of days is a little different but the things that happen on those days should be the same. Hopefully, someone will post the navigators from the 5 night that leaves on Tuesday.

Since we are celebrating our 20th anniversary, DH and I are leaving the kids behind this trip. We rarely go without the kids and it is hard! but I know we will have fun. I also have a DS12 and a DS8 and DDS 13 and 5 and I will really be missing them! I'm sure they'd have a great time with all the kids in the group. I'll be sure not to tell them about all the other kids their ages on board. I will redeem myself though by booking a family cruise onboard. We hope to go in August 2013 when the girls will turn 16 and 8.
