FYI... Mousesavers announced that ticket prices will be going up on Sun.

I have been procrastinating about getting the tickets for DW and other parks until this morning. My wife also told me about the price increases reported through Mouse Savers.

I bought my tickets for the parks and Cirque du Soleil. Has anyone seen this recent version

Hi All,

just back from dropping the dog off with the parents. Expected to get back to find DW reading, but no, she's finishing off the gifts for the FE. Oh yes, here's the picture I should have put on this morning.

Doesn't look half bad now it's got some decoration on it.

Now off to do some hoovering or packing or maybe I'll leave that until tomorrow and have a beer instead.

Hi, Everybody -
SOOOO jealous of all you starting your vacations/holidays so soon! We are at 14 days. I have found out a few things and will pass them on, if anyone is interested.
1. Cruise documents for our cruise were mailed UPS 3 day from FL on Thursday. For us, in NY, they'll be here Monday. The guy said not to worry even if they don't arrive, everything we need will be at the port. I told him it's not a matter of worry, just excitement to have them in my hot little hands!!
2. If you're worried about your passports, call the number on the website - you'll be on hold for a while, but they can tell you exactly where they are. The website tracking doesn't update like it should, but the phone folks will track it's exact location. When I called, she told me they were at the Boston office, but not completed yet. I fibbed, and said we were starting our vaca early and wouldn't be home to get them after Aug. 3, she noted that in the computer and they arrived 2 days later.

We saw La Nouba 2 years ago - fantastic. Knowing their quality of entertainment, I wouldn't be worried. Have a great time.

so....i finished our FE gifts...with a little help from DD. My DMiL bought some fantastic little bits for gifting from Stongehenge (DH is a west country boy) I have asked my Mum to bring some postcards from Glasgow (my hometown)....I bought some postcards from the tourist information centre (...centre is probably a bit of an exaggeration-kiosk would be more accurate!!)in our hometown *laughs ,for surely we have no tourists here in one horse townsville*....if anyone likes tudor houses we have a couple here in Stafford.and thats about it Oh..and a castle...we have a ruined castle too
DH cleared a path from the front door to the kitchen so the kind friend who is feeding our cats doesn't loose his life..AND i managed to finish my book....lol

just a few more bits to stuff in a suitcase...and we are outta here...

now....what have i forgotten......?????????

No ..no..we are still here! Flight is at 10 am on the 6th...which might be the 5th in parts of the US (never was any good at time differences...went to Hawaii once and completely lost almost 2 days... and it had nothing to do with cocktails i can assure you!)

cleaning...almost done.My kitchen is almost fit to cook in..
packing...nearly there...some suitcases have made it as far as the car!
beds stripped and linen in the washing machine (what is that all about???lol)
fridge nearly empty...we will be having an odd dinner tonight let me tell you!
What can you do with an onion...some cheese..BBQ sauce and half a lettece?And a bottle of cider! Any suggestions ? Drink the cider then go to the pub for dinner or get a Take away?

DH is stripping down the plumbing in our en suite....long story but he NEEDS to fix it before we leave apparently! Personally i think he is just avoiding housework....although the toilet is making a hell of a noise!

right...this is my last post...*cue lad with a bugle*....
went for the take away option...lovely chinese..mmmmm.Still had odd bits of food in the fridge!
packing is done..beds are remade with lovely clean linen...(was tempted to make everyone sleep on the floor in sleeping bags but even i thought that was going a little too far )

Clothes are all ready for the stupid o'clock alarm call. we need to leave here about 6am...so up at 5.45 then ! We have paid to go into an 'executive'(woooo) lounge at the airport, so we will have breakfast there. Boy, will we have to eat to get our moneys worth...but it will probably keep me out of the duty free shops(who am i kidding.. )

so nothing else to do but a few necessary ablutions..put in a bit more (non holiday related) laundry... then watch a bit of telly i think!

Job done!

Dana-i will see you at P&PP! have decided to (almost) follow your lead and plump for tee-shirts and hats/tiaras. I feel a princess coming on

I know you are trying to get everything in seeing how short your days are. Are you available the 17th for a poly meet?

Dana- I would love to meet, but I just don't think we're going to have time. We are travelling with my DFriend and her DD and we pretty much have everything planned (believe it or not, my family actually likes when I'm OCD about planning. They don't like to have to deceide "ok..where next?")

We will be on DCL bus too though. I would love to meet you then. I didn't realize it left at 11. I know AKL leaves at 12 or 12:30, so I assumed the same. Good thing you mentioned it. Who all is going to be on the same bus? Also, how will we know how each other is?

I finished my FE gift shopping today. My DBil volunteered to stay at our house to watch my dog. Saves me money from having to board him!

The only thing I have left to buy is a few items for pirate night. I tried to find some eye patches, earrings, and other pirate accessories, but didn't have much luck at my local party store. Nothing I liked. I'll have to try again next weekend.

Only 11 more days! (ok...almost 10 at this point if I go to bed early)

To all of you doing the FE exchange...

Do you wrap the gifts or do we just put them in the FE? If you wrap them...how are you doing this? Are you using little bags? baggies? wrapping paper?

Hi Jen,

I wrapped part one of our gifts in Mickey wrapping paper (on sale at the local Hallmark store here). I put a tag on them using the room numbers. And they are sorted according to deck numbers. I did freak out for a minute when I had one gift left over and couldn't figure out for a minute who it was for? I made it for the 18th family, which means I made a gift for us. C'est la vie.
The rest of the gifts will go in lime green cellophane bags.

I'm excited about going next week, but I wish I had another week or two. This summer has gone way too fast.
