My DS is a boy scout but he is 12 not allowed in the teen area yet

one of my girls is 11...shes in scouts.


We dont do 'girl' scouts and 'boy' scouts in the UK.

Girls can join a girls only Guides-run by the girl guides assosiation (affiliated but seperate from the Scout association). Girls and Boys can join THE Scout Association-this is what my girls are in. They have gone through the organisation from 6- they start as beavers, the cubs, then scouts , then explorer scouts (once the are 14). My girls are both Scouts. They were also in the Girl Gudes (Brownies) until they where 8- but Scouts was concidered to be more fun than Guides (a bit girly for my two!)DH is a cub leader...so the girls went with him .....the eldest one used to go in her baby walker if I was working when she was young!: It gets them out of the house! They do all sirts of stuff they probably wouldnt get the chance to do if not in Scouting. We think it is brilliant !

AHHHHHHHHHHH....only 5 days until holiday! yeah!!!
Girls are busy trying to organises a load of scouts to go to Alton Towers on Friday (local theme park...bit of a warm up for next week! Logistics causing some trouble....no direct bus any more...might have to drive them post night shift rotfl2: ) Keep of the roads in Staffordshire...you have been warned! gtg....packing to sort!

8 Days Until We Leave!!!!

Today I was able to get a lot of different things done - fixing my Mickey tie dye shirts, painting decorations on my FE, doing back to school shopping for the kids, etc. Can't believe how fast the days are passing!

To all of you who will be at the Poly (or near and are planning to stop by) - do we have a day in mind that we will all be meeting by the pool for a short bit? We will be there starting on August 9th. Our plans our to be at a park for early entry every day and coming back to the hotel for a break each afternoon before hitting the parks hard each night again. We did do the dining plan so we have to work around that a little bit. My family is also pretty serious about our park time but we know that we will take breaks so let me know if we are doing some pool time.

Dana, I can't believe how much you have done already!! Pneumonia has gotten in the way of all of my to do's. I have serious To-do list envy!!! I'm definitely up for a meet a the pool! I've missed everyone while I've been stuck in bed!

Jen, I also have very serious "you're staying at the poly for 10 days" envy! When are you leaving? We're counting on you to have tested out all the great pool drinks and be ready to point us in the right direction to seriously refreshed!!

LeeAnn, have you checked out the flying website? Or at least packed your only friend in flight? Is 36 a final # of children in the FE gift exchange? My children are party bagging our gifts as I write!! Thanks again for such an awesome suggestion!! They are really excited to meet the other kids and to roam around dropping off gifts will give them such a thrill! Great Suggestion!

Looking good here. We got 3 separate types of gifts (very reasonable priced) for all the Fish Extenders. I think my girls will be wanting to do secret drops at night on each of the nights. They each picked the gifts they felt they wanted to give.

Reminder I do have a Pooh one with 3 pockets for free if anyone is interested? Just shoot me a PM.

Officially 2 weeks and we are onboard for the 3 night.

just wanted to update everyone on who has requested a band. price is 1.29 each.
For those who don't know - they are silicone bands like lance armstrong's livestrong. they are lime green in color and have "Disney Wonder August 2007" imprinted on it.

Terri - I am so glad that you have given me the job of sampling drinks at the Polynesian pool bar...I will do my best! Also, read my note to Dana - do either of the dates work for you? When do you get to the Poly?

Dana - Either afternoon will work for us. I think closer to 2 o'clock would be good because we have ADR for both nights and I want to have time to relax a bit before having to get ready and rush off for those at night. If you want, we can set an exact date - or - you can just look us up at the Polynesian when you get there and call our room. The room is booked under my name (Jen Anderson). I will also have my cell phone with (I can send you a PM if you want it).

I did get the tie dye shirts completed today! They take a couple of days to do and are really a bit time consuming.

We are leaving for the cabin tomorrow and will not come home until Monday afternoon. Trying to find lots of ways to pass the days until we go!

Dana, Thanks for the well wishes. I caught it from my 13 yr old who just had it. Our doctors said no one under the age of 75 gets it this time of the year!! I hope he's right and it stops with me. I'll be bringing the pharmacy just in case! Are you going to wear your wrist band to the pool, so we can find you?

Jen, I am confident you are our girl! I am getting in the morning of the 16th. Our plan is to head to MGM that day until our room is ready. I'm not sure if we'll make it back by 2pm, but my DH will want to get checked in at some point in the late afternoon.

Cant wait to meet everyone!

MK...have a lupa-lupa for me. (When I was thinking of a new name for my van, lupa lupa came up but it is 1 letter too many. I can't remember my tag number so I am changing it to something Disney. It can only be 7 letters.)

I can't believe how much I still have to do before we leave. I need to get through Allison's B-day party on Sun., another week of camp for Alex, and pack all the school supplies since we will only have 1 day before school starts when we return. I'm glad I have a packing list that helps me along.
