did day 2 of week 4 of c25k today... was way too humid for me this morning. went out later than usual as Darren away on business so had to wait until camp bus left. i unfortunately couldn't finish the final 5 min run today... hopefully fri is better!

Hi Mike, we are practically neighbors. my SIL lives in oceanside and we are in your neck of the woods often. If you are a long time resident, then i have to mention island park had one of the best bakeries...custom bake shop. I really miss that place. Have you eaten at Panchos on long beach road. someone recommended the place to me.

nice to see you are also on the same deck as us.

Re: fish extender gifts....will re-iterate what others have said....they can be bought or made, can be the same or different for adults and children, can be anonymous or not, can be given out on any day. on our last cruise i bought the gifts but for this cruise we are making them. (will be something for pirate night)

Yes i've lived here all my life. I remember (too fondly) Custom Bakers very well. They had the best cheese cake, and boston cream pie... As far as Panchos goes... We eat there all the time, fantastic Tex, Mex... Are you guys going early? We're leaving on the 13th., and spending 4 nights in Barcelona... Looking forward to meeting you all...

Got my FE in the mail today. It came out GREAT! Still no docs here.... I thin they're trying to tell me something..... Maybe the upgrade to cat 3 is coming through...

So here is my dilemma. DH has been buying gifts for the FE. However, he's been buying meanful small type things to keep the weight down. When it comes down to it, it doesn't look like much and I'm afraid it might get lost in the pockets. Any ideas. It's scary because they are really small and it's a couple of things. Maybe I'll wait and see how many are in the FE come 8/1 and then decide whether to get more stuff or not.

I bought a couple of smaller things too. I'm putting mine in a treat bag and tying the top with a ribbon so nothing falls out.

I made my FE and am not at all crafty. It looks a bit 'rustic' but does the job. Please no one laugh! How about putting them in little ziplocks. The are useful to for going home and putting bits and pieces in.

For those at the Novotel. The best quote is 80 euros. This happens to be the same company we used before and they were good. the hotel confirmed the taxi fare to the port was between 30 and 40 euros. I think it would be more like 30 comparing to the airport cost but it is slightly cheaper at 26.66 ($33.97) each family. (please check math was never my strong point!)

Not long now we are getting excited in this house!

I haven't figured out how we are getting to our hotel yet. I would assume since we get in at 9:15am it will be too early to check in, but I'd like to go there and leave my luggage. We're at Porta Marina, it's on Sancho de Avila by Avinguida Meridiana, we're a 20 minute walk from the Olympic Village, and 5 from the city center. I think had I waited, I would have booked the Novotel, but months ago, when we were getting so excited and booking hotels, we were able to get a good price here on 1800hotels.com so we booked and paid for it, now we're kind of stuck. It was one of the few with family rooms.

Susan, what are you guys doing?
