Kate: So sorry about your daughter! Thankfully, at that age, they heal pretty fast and she will be good as new in no time. My son has been very accident prone over the years and it does always seem to come at a bad time
for us too. He just got a new skateboard yesterday and I don't even want him to use it for fear of a broken bone or sprain! Hope you get good news at the next assessment.

I guess it would be too hard, with the majority of the group on Deck 2 to have all of you trudge up to Deck 8 and party in my room. We should just take over the hallway on Deck 2 and party there

Well Mindy...I won't have a hard time trekking to your room for the party as I'm Deck 6!!! I think I'm the only one so far that's on Deck 6 - I feel so lonely!

I started a spreadsheet for the days on the cruise. I added in some dinners and shows from reports from the 10 & 11 night cruises earlier this summer. They are just my best guesses. Anyone can use this if you need a schedule. However, since I have a Mac and use numbers (instead of excel) it may format weird when you open it up in excel. I did however save it as an excel document so all can open it. The link:

Hope you all had a good weekend. I have been at the school Fayre almost all day today. DD is coping very well, had one tearful moment when she realised that she wouldn't be able to go on the bouncy castle with her little friends

Shawn, don't let your son anywhere near that skateboard!!! DD has been asking for one for ages, I don't think she will get one now, I will be paranoid!!

I too thought that the FE would be easy with everyone on Deck 2, we were on Deck 2 last cruise and loved it. I know we are lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a twin porthole on Deck 1, but I am worried that we will miss having our wonderfully huge window - we would have tried to upgrade if we hadn't got a window, still tempted to see if they have a large one, but maybe that would be ungrateful!! I didn't realise the two portholes were so high up, I thought we would be able to see out them without standing up, but it doesn't look that way on the photos I have seen. (now I sound really horrid, when others weren't so lucky!).

Lori, how is the running? I did the last session of Week 3 this morning, struggled with the last run, but unfortunatley, I ended up in the position of running up a steep incline for the last one, which didn't help. Bit worried about Week 4, but like you, will give it a go. If you had told me three weeks ago I would have done this, I wouldn't have believed it.

I laughed yesterday, the poor dog didn't want to come with me! She hung back in the driveway, as if to say 'you gotta be kidding'. She was a bit better this morning, didn't need so much coaxing

Mary, thanks for the spreadsheet, very useful. Maybe it will help me do a bit of planning now.

For those staying in the Novotel, the cheapest price to transfer us to the Port is 80 euros, which is roughly 8.6 euros each = 26 euros per family. This is the company we used before (15 people and cheaper). However, I am not sure this is cheaper than getting a taxi individually. I have emailed the hotel, to see if they can give a price for a taxi one way for 3 people, to give us some idea of whether there is a saving or not and I am waiting to hear back. Watch this space.

Oh, Mindy - you don't have to be in your cabin for the party - I will be happy to act as 'host' for you!!!!

Out of curiosity, when did you ask him to make this? I asked him to make some for our family May 30th and then sent him a "second request" about a month later but so far I've heard nothing. Thought I would ask one final time around July 30th if I still have not heard...
(I do hate to bother him as he is really really nice to make all these)

Just a note to everyone from the US with a Capitol One card. I'm SO happy with it!!!! I made my first EUR purchase yesterday and the rate I was charged was AWESOME!!!! I bought the tickets to climb the tower in Pisa for our private tour. Right after I bought the tickets, I checked the spot rate for the EUR and it was 1.2645. Capitol One charged me 1.268, NOT BAD AT ALL!!!! I Capitol One!
