Um....T1i or Xsi? Video or no video? That's the difference between the 2. I got the T1i for christmas and have the 18-55 and 55-250 lenses. LOVE the camera!

I only know my 55-250. I've gotten some decent shots, but some people recommend that a true telephoto goes to 300...??? I'm not too great with the lingo, but the Photography board has some good info, and I've wandered here:

Has Jim (James??) heard anything good about any wide angles? That's what I'm lacking, I think...

Canon fans as well? I am reallllly loving you guys. I love my little rebel XTi. I just bought a 28-135 which is not telephoto but it was a little more light weight and fits the bill (for me). I really like it. Now I need a cheap little nifty fifty to take some great night pics!


Don't forget the UV filter for the lens!

Well the UV protects your lens. I figured I was spending so much on it I might as well get the filter to protect it lol!

The polar one does some cool things.

I wonder if we should buy a filter... We have a Sony H20. We're more point and shoot kind of people... the smaller the better for us. This one is actually large for us......

Jel I think if they make them it is worth the $$ The one thing that can damage a camera (or the lens I should say) are the UV rays. Plus most filters are under $20 so not too big of an investment imo! I have been reading afew books and I actually really liked the idots guide. He is the one who made me understand all the lenses and the filters etc. It's a good book.

Ok...I have a hard time with the buffering on my computer...can someone give me the highlights????

Tunis was the port that gave me the most grief..I definitely made sure to book an excursion because it makes me nervous being an arab country...just something I experienced when I went to Morocco too....

Got the podcast to work....doesn't surprise me in this port...the people felt how I felt in Morrocco. I don't like that you have to bring your passports on shore and the fact that we have to dress so conservatively...but then again we'll have to dress the same in Rome. I'll either stay with my disney excursion or stay on the ship.
