Yea by all means let her sleep on the plane if she can but keep her up until bedtime when she lands. It might stink buy much better in the long rung. I will say if you are in coach for the flight the seats are tight so be aware of that.

Welcome! I am also worried about jet lag with the kids. I have a DD13 and a DS11. I have tried to explain it to them but it should be interesting. We are flying in from Chicago. We will want to avoid going to bed as the sun is rising on the trip.

It went well and there was no problem with the website! While there were no Palo brunch or tea reservations, I was able to get DH and I the hot stone massages for the 1st sea day! The excursions are as follows:
Aak...ok this is a guess as I went back to the page to look and the site had crashed (I had saved my choices....)

Malta..nothing yet. Might do on own.
Tunis..Sidi Bou Said and Carthage
Naples...Timeless Pompeii and Flavors of Sorrento
Rome...private tour
La Spezia...Cinque Terre on our own
Ajaccio....Sweet Corsica, then as we're back at 1215, Ajaccio on our own
Villefranche...Perfume apprentice

You're LANDING in BCN at 11:35 on Wed???? Personally, I wouldn't do it, I'm a day before gal myself. We arrive in BCN on 8/17 at 8PM. You're not leaving yourself a lot of wiggle room if bags are lost, since you'll have to head straight for the ship, as I believe everyone has to be onboard by 3PM.

Okay so now I am a littled worried. If I had to do it over again I would have booked it for the day before but I guess I will just have to pray that all goes well

I think you'll be okay. I don't believe the ship even departs until 9 pm, so I' sure there are exceptions to that all aboard time.

Actually MIndy, I don't think there is... even though the ship doesn't sail until 9PM, there is the mandatory safety drill at 4PM, which EVERYONE has to be onboard to attend. The only reason for NOT being there(that DCL would accept) would be if you're on DCL air and your plane is delayed.

Dan and I also have ressies for Palo on the Tunis day. We had 8:30 but changed it to 7:30pm. I will keep an eye out for you guys and say hi!

Actually MIndy, I don't think there is... even though the ship doesn't sail until 9PM, there is the mandatory safety drill at 4PM, which EVERYONE has to be onboard to attend. The only reason for NOT being there(that DCL would accept) would be if you're on DCL air and your plane is delayed.

My travel agent didn't seem worried when I asked him. He said that DCL would meet me at the airport. I guess there is no point in worrying since it doesn't help.

We were able to request our dining rotation. Since Parrot Cay was our least favorite of the restaurants, we wanted to make sure that was where we were on Palo dinner night. It worked out because now we'll be in Lumiere's for formal night. YEA! Our rotation is PLAPLAPLAP. (translation for Kim and Jennifer P=Parrot Cay,L= Lumiere's, A=Animators)

sure....actually we were debating that after reading the boards about people complaining about late tablemates and stuff. We never hit that issue because our friends traveled with us last time, but we didn't know whether to take a table on our own or request table mates. I'm not the type that's late, but if we're late coming back from an excursion, I'm not going to stress about getting to the dining room on time, for gosh sakes I'm on vacation. We want to be kind of laid back, but we do like to dress up for formal night (no long gowns, but DH may rent a tux). We debated asking someone from the board, but we didn't want to impose, since what happens if we all meet in person and don't really like each other.

And how did you find out what your rotaion is? Also what attire are you taking for Lumiere's?

What program thingie??? I'm confused.... DS has sign in/out privileges, more so he can sign himself in.....
