Thought you all might be interested in this tidbit!

So this week I was officially 1/2 paid off (just the cruise part, no airfare) and decided to email the travel agency and inquire about transfers and if they book hotel pre and post cruise. What they had pre-cruise was limited to Le Meridian (they have a website..check it out) and were quoting me $2500 for 3 nights. Nope, I didn't mistakenly add a zero. So I tinkered on line with that hotel and a few others that she'd listed as available post-cruise, and found out that at the moment, the only hotel that is listing availability to book this far out was indeed Le Meridian. For a significantly lesser rate of 199.00 Euro/night. Hmmmmm, let me see......ok, no brainer there. The only down side is that I was only able to add transfers from hotel to port and port back to hotel. I figured that I could get a taxi from the airport for, say, less than the $1500 I'm saving by not booking thru disney? Holy cow!!! So fellow cruisers....be warned!!

And.....did y'all hear my email on the podcast this week?

Thank U some much for that info. We want to book post cruise. So I will start to do some research on my own rather than go through Disney

Hello Everyone!!! Officially subscribing to this thread! We just made a deposit today to join you all on this magical cruise! Our cast of characters at the time of sailing will be DH (43), me (39), DS (7), DD (5). This will be our third sailing aboard the Magic (the first being 7 day Western in Sep 07 and the absolutely awesome WB Panama Cruise in May '08). Can't wait to meet you all - on the day the ship is docked in France, we'll be celebrating our 10 year anniversary!!!

Took a little break, life got a little hectic and I keep up with Jackie and Clara on facebook. How's everyone been. I see we have one new member....Welcome!!!! I'll add you to the list at the beginning of the thread -probably tomorrow.

Still not focused on this cruise that much, hoping we can afford it but won't make the call until next year....took a bit of a paycut at work, but DH may get a new job paying more.....we'll see what life brings us. Hope all are well.

All is well here, I just wish the weather would improve. We're off to Disneyland next Tuesday and it seems like we'll get mid-70's in Anaheim.

With the kids in school (well my Kindergartner anyway), its harder to go but the last time we were there was over President's day weekend. It was PACKED! But then again it was a holiday so that wasn't really a surprise.

DD and I were at Disneyland last week! We had a great time, but it was crowded due to spring break. The weather was great! We're still in CA, but in the Bay Area. Hope you all are doing well!

Well, we're very excited in our household....the hubby got offered a new position making oodles more money....so it looks like we now will have the money to take the cruise after all......YEA!!!!!

BTW - i have our cruise list somewhere on page 2 (i think)..How can we bump it to the first page so that we can always find it....if you have the very first post, can you copy it and put it on that...only you would be able to edit that post.....then it can be updated easier....just a thought.
