August 17, 2012 Magic in NYC!

I have 7 year old son ( looks 10)
And
3 year old daughter ( acts 15!)

The only reason we are not FE ing is packing logistics
If we love the ship then maybe we will join in when the ship is in med next year!
It sounds like so much fun :-(

That is completely understandable especially when you are packing for an international trip that will last a couple of weeks.

I finally have both our cabin #s...

Thanks for your patience!

I am registering online and see the checkin times...earliest listed is 1:30??!?!? Does anyone know how strict this is? We were hoping to arrive at the port by 11 at the latest.

Sad that you don't know Kinder Surprise. You cannot have a complete childhood without them. They are hollow chocolate eggs with small toys and puzzles inside. Kids collect the toys. Many toys have small parts so the child can build the toy surprise. I believe they are not sold in the USA because these small parts can be a choking hazard for the under three set.
Too bad because they are cute.
Keever

I have a good friend who brings us Kinder surprise eggs from Mexico every holiday. My kids go bananas for them. It is a shame they do not allow them in the US.

Ours is 1:00, I wanted earlier too. I heard that if you arrive before your time they make you wait. If you hear otherwise let me know!

As I was figuring out my FE gifts I was looking at the ages of the children. I figured I would share if parents want to help the child(ren) make friends amongst the FE. These are only the ages of the children participating on the FE but I bet there are more on the Meet Thread that are not.

Boys:

We have 15 boys:

One 5 year, four between 8-9 years old , four between 10 - 12 years old, three 14 year olds and two 16-17 year olds. There is another boy but there was no age

Girls:

We have 13 girls:

One 2 year old, two 4-5 year olds, three 7- 8 year olds, three 9-10 year olds, two 13 year olds, and one 15 year old.

There is also a 21 year old girl listed as well.

I would LOVE my 14 year old son to meet some other kids close to his age. Not sure he would go to the Edge alone and my 2 younger sons play fine together. He is at that awkward age, not a little kid, but not a full teenager either!

LOST! I have looked EVERYWHERE!!! What do I do??? AHHHH!!!

You don't really need them, all you really need is the cruise contract signature form and credit card form, both printed off DCL's website. When you drop off your luggage they will have luggage tags they can give you.

Keever posted that there is a meet: On Friday at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge for our Dis group. I would love for my daughters 8+9 to meet other girls about their age. I'm hoping that new friends will inspire them to go to camp and find independence.
Hope to see others there.

I am making name tags for the meet. See you there.

my daughter is looking to meeting the girls, she will be 9 in Sept. we printed out the list of possible activities and the navigator from june 2 to get her excited about going to camp. she cruised 5 yrs ago (non dcl) and love camp but doesn't remember it. we plan to come by the meet.

My 8 year old DD is also hoping to meet new friends! (the six year old DDs too)

Am i missing a thread for fish extenders? We would love to participate as would the other families were sailing with but can find a place to link up with others about them?:confused3

OK, thanks you... that makes me feel a lot better. At least we are not flying so I will have possession of our luggage until the port.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Maybe one of them will have something in common with your son. My 13 year old is at that awkward age too. I completely understand, although I have heard it is easier having boys at this age.

The fish extender closed officially on July 17th. You could contact Keever who is keeping the list.

Can't wait to meet everyone, I'm getting excited for this cruise and to meet some more amazing people, my last 7 night cruise on the Fantasy had a great group of adults, hope this group is just as fun, I'm sure you all are:cool1:.

We are getting excited for the cruise! Our children are Madalyn (10) and Nick (8). They both hope to meet some friends to spend time in the clubs with!
