August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 4

Glad I wasn't the only one.

What happened to everyone? We went a whole day with no posts. Slackers! :rotfl:

Must have been first day of school busy stuff!!! I hate when school starts, back to everyone (except the lazy college student) being up at 5:30. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to work for me, both my jobs start when the school year does so I've been busy juggling those. I haven't had much computer time since school started, but now that I have my new touchpad I might be able to get more surfing in on the go! :woohoo:

did you get in on the $99 HP deal?

I think whenever they get around to releasing summer 2013 dates for the Magic it may include a combination of Eastern & Western Med cruises. We just got back 2 weeks ago from one of the Med cruises & then I got a postcard to complete an online survey which I did yesterday. One of the last questions was about how likely we were to sail on various itineraries (with "starting at" prices listed). The last 2 choices were a Western Med & an Eastern Med with "starting at" prices at $949. They were both 7 nights out of Civitavecchia (Rome). Since both are out of Civitavecchia I am wondering if they would alternate them so you could do back-to-backs. Here's the specific itineraries they gave:

7-NIGHT EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN (Starting at $949)
Cruise Ports: Civitavecchia, Italy; Messina, Italy; Kusadasi, Turkey; Athens, Greece; Heraklion, Greece; Civitavecchia, Italy

7-NIGHT WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN (Starting at $949)
Cruise Ports: Civitavecchia, Italy; Genoa, Italy; Marseille, France; Barcelona, Spain; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Sardinia, Italy; Civitavecchia, Italy

I saw this posted by Anal Annie on the 2013 thread.....of course was just a survey that she got....hope it comes true!!! :)

Hope everyone is having a good week!!!:)

We would love either of those itineraries! :lovestruc

Yep, actually the $149 deal, I bought the 32GB one. I love this thing, if you can find one anywhere it is a fantastic deal. I kept holding off on buying the Apple because the lack of usb port, but when I saw this I jumped on it.

So what is the deal? Maybe I need to check it out!

I have an Ipad, so I don't need one, but I'm glad to know someone who was able to get the deal.

Elena, search the budget board for HP Touchpad $99. It started while we were gone, or right after we got back, so I think the deal is long gone, but you can look and see what the latest scoop is on that thread.

On the 21st of August HP had a "firesale" and marked all their touchpads down to $99 for the 16GB and $149 for the 32GB. These were originally selling at around $500 so when they went down in price everyone went crazy trying to get them. Many people were buying them in quantity to resell on Ebay ect. They are going for $225-$300 on Ebay now which I think is crazy, why do people pay for overpriced items when they know that person didn't pay anywhere near that amount. I guess that's America for ya, capitalism at its best! I was able to find mine at HHGregg just the other day they got a new shipment in. HP is no longer manufacturing them so the stores are only getting in what they already had on order before the sale. I had to call around for about a week before I lucked out and found that HHGregg had just gotten a shipment in.

There are times when you can't find the words, there just isn't an appropriate way to thank someone as much as you would like.

We received Marco & Laura's DVD with the sail-a-away party, pirate party, virtual porthole animations, shows, etc!!!!! We are having great time watching it. Sarah's smile was larger than life while she was watching Jessie and the Toy Story gang during the Golden Mickeys.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Marco & Laura!

I hope you are all enjoying looking through your vacation videos and photos. By the way, if anyone took a photo of our Roy Suite could you please email to me? - jeffreylangdon@gmail.com We lost an SD card while on the Dream that apparently had all the photos I took that Sunday and Monday. I have a couple of good videos, but no photos of the suite.
