I swear I am getting so confused as to who is leaving when and who is staying where! Good thing we will all be on the ship soon and then I won't have to keep it all straight!

My first experience packing with packing cubes is almost complete. I love how much I can fit in them, and how much less space my clothes take up. However, now my 40 inch suitcases are only 1/2 full and are at the 50lb limit. I think I may go out tomorrow and pick up a smaller suitcase. Why bring a monster suitcase when it is literally only 1/2 full?

Evening everyone!!

OMG, bags a pretty much packed. Wow, that is sooooooooo stressful! One large duffel, one suitcase, one soft sided garment bag (that hopefully doesnt get shredded), and a small carry one size, all to be checked! 45 and 48 pounds on the big bags. How do you guys do it? We still need an empty carry on for beer and all the stuff I seem to accumulate along the way. I wish I had some wine!

Jen, congrats on the cabana! I haven't rented any stuff, I was hoping they will just have some when we get there.

I am renting with Avis on the way back, is that good enough?

Man I need a vacation!

Dh didn't use the cubes, but I packed the other 3 of us mostly with them. Not the dresses and stuff though. I am already worried about packing them back up though on the ship.

Part of my problem is that my great FE idea (which may not really be that great) is taking 2 suitcases. We also have 4 complete sets of snorkeling gear. I also have my rolling cooler folded in a suitcase for when we stop to buy beverages. There are pirate costumes, semi-formal clothing, huge wine glasses (really water glasses) that are packed carefully so they don't break to put my wine in when I go to dinner, and a million other "extra" type of things that take up so much room.

I have to learn how to cruise with less stuff!

But our glasses are so big that you can put 1/2 a bottle of wine in one glass!

We have a minivan rented. Good thing huh?

I have a mini van one way, and a crown Vic the other way. I am more concerned about getting my stuff to and from the airport in my

Good Luck packing...How's the weather been in Florida?? The tropics are looking VERY ACTIVE!!

Very hot, sunny early in the morning, it rains really bad around noon and clears again around 5pm, I believe we'll be fine, we dont see any major issues in the NOAA satellites.
The packing is happening Sunday. DD is still in Fort Myers beach til then so I have to wash and pack her beach stuff, the fact that we can take as many bags as we want because we are driving helps a lot, we don't have to figure how to shrink our stuff for flying!

We are traveling with another family, very close friends, but ever since we booked the cruise last year Id been bugging them to log into the forum and the meet, but they didin't , id even ordered lanyards for them! finally last week they got hit with reality but I told her it was to late for FE and all.... this is their first DC so I guess they didnt realized it, anyway they are going to be with us and I guess will be in the group not being in the group. What can I do? my hubby is furious, but is all fun.

I noticed your avatar is a pic of a firehouse? My eyes are getting bad so maybe I'm wrong. Any firefighters in the family? Sorry, just curious, I'm in a related career.

Your friends will know next time. There are... maybe... 3800 others on the ship that are not participating in the FE exchange? No biggie, everyone will have a great time anyway.

Be sure to attend the meet on the first day, introduce yourselves and get to know others. It's all good!
