To my knowledge, they were.

Well that is good that they were able to get there. I hope that they still had a good cruise. The last two cruises we were on were affected by hurricanes but our itineraries changed and we avoided the "Rough Seas.":thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We will be at CIS near Universal until the morning of the cruise so no pre-cruise meet for us. :(

Although a sore subject I did follow-up with DCL on arrival times. My original plan was to show up around 1:00 pm when the terminal is cleared out, check in, and walk on the ship. The DCL rep said that is the way it is with the Wonder and Magic, but not the Dream.

DCL has been doing their best to "fine tune" the embarkation/disembarkation process for the Dream, but moving 4,000 vs. 2,800 is more difficult than perhaps they expected.

The port opening @ 11 AM is a result of DCL still working out the kinks with disembarkation. At 1:00 PM (our originally planned arrival time) the terminal is still busy so (as the DCL rep said) getting to the terminal @ 1 PM doesn't work as you would expect like it does for the Magic and Wonder.

That being said, we are getting to the port at 11 AM.

Just when I was coming to terms with arriving an hour past our check in time-THIS! I guess I'll see you in line at 11 am... I'm curious as to how this is going to back up car rental shuttles. Are we going to be waiting a few runs for a spot to the port and then "The Line" to get into the terminal building.

For us, the rescheduled Tortola Eastern now Western cruise were our smoothest seas of the 6 cruises we've done. They did a great job at diverting us around the weather, and 2 stops at Castaway Cay was an added bonus!

I'm really starting to get worried about this check in process. I called our car transportation today and pushed back our pick ip time. So, we will now be arriving at 11 am which is still our arrival time for DCL (at least that was the last time I checked). I 'm really worried about what we will find when we get there. :sad2:

I am right there with you about the check-in process!!

:goodvibes:)It was such smooth sailing. I hope we can have that again this cruise!!:thumbsup2:)

I ordered SafeSea last year but did not use it. The order was slow to arrive and what I ordered was not delivered. The advertised special was 3 bottles for the price of 2 (I believe) but only 1 bottle came. I contacted the company and they refunded my money for the second bottle. Thankfully, for our last 2 cruises sea lice has not been a problem.

Thankyou Helen for the reminder !!! :goodvibes
WDW meet : August 13 , SATURDAY , at the Poly , early afternoon !!!
IMHO :goodvibes we could meet in the main LOBBY , Great ceremonial house , where there are the beautiful FALLING WATERS and TROPICAL PLANTS !! :hippie: about 3:30 / 4:00 pm !!
(Comfy seats and :) lovely airconditioning too )

There are many bars - also by the pool - we could decide where to head when we meet , if there are children etc.

Here are the families who said would like to meet :

Also Janeanne wanted to join in

To me and Marco an afternoon meet at the Poly sounds wonderful !!!

I'm so excited. I feel like the cruise countdown is in full swing! I've bought everything that I think I need. Yay for feeling accomplished!

Morning Everyone!

I love all the information about the excursions everyone shared...thanks for all the input. I am still investigating all the options. DH will laugh because he will read about it here that I am even thinking about options! :rotfl2:

The heat is HORRIBLE in Minnesota right now. Erika is right that it is more tropical then the rain forests this week and the instant you step outside you feel wet. This morning it is storming horribly at the cabin but it is suppose to end and then get up to temperatures that feel like 115°! Ben and I will be enjoying some puzzles, movies and maybe a trip to a local pottery store.

:cool1: The countdown is WONDERFUL as usual....can't believe how close it finally is. :cool1:

If I've learned anything from this board over the last 2 years or so - it's that Minnesota has some real friggin' messed up weather!! :rotfl2: You guys see it all!

Thanks for the info on the port arrival.. I too wondered if we should just time our arrival for 12 - 1, thinking it may have cleared out a bit... but whenever we arrive, we arrive I suppose... other then standing and waiting for the line into the terminal, we dont have to wait for a number to get on :) so 1 seemed good since that is when they are letting people on

I only went to the lake for 2 days and I had a half hour of reading on here!! I don't think we'll have a problem making it to thread 4!
Hello all.
I just want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. My FIL passed away on Friday evening. The family is going to be trickeling in starting tomorrow, and we are going to have the funeral on Sat. It has been an emotional rollercoaster. But he is definitely in a better place now. Thank you all so much!
Candy, so sorry to hear about your loss. :flower3:
UGH, the swim shirts from Lands End are HUGE according to dd. I need to order a smaller one, does anyone know of a free shipping offer??
Call Lands End and ask the person on the phone if you can get free shipping since you are re-ordering the same item in a smaller size. They are really helpful if you call and do their best to make you a happy customer.
I think the sea lice are mostly a problem in the late spring and early summer. We didn't have any problems last time we cruised in Aug. But I guess it's better safe than sorry!

So true! Our weather in Minnesota is totally messed up! :rotfl2: Today we have had storms, heavy winds, more storms, sticky weather, cool weather, storms again and now....at bed time....it is getting really hot and sticky again.

The worse is that my internet service at the lake is horrible today. I am hoping it will be better tomorrow!

Try these for Lands End free shipping:

Coupon Code: GETREADY PIN: 1106
Coupon Code: SAILAWAY PIN: 4523

Not sure when they expire & I didn't find a minimum required purchase. Good luck.
