Terri - I replied back about the shirts. I would love to send them to you! :thumbsup2

Would you mind sharing what time slot you have? I am getting ready to call Disney to complain about why my slot was pushed back by a whole hour. I am not going to use any names but I am looking to see what slots people were allowed to keep.

I got the 10:30 slot, but I was up at midnight and then again at 4:30AM when the site wasn't ready at midnight. So I really hope they don't bump me to later than 11:30 or I might get really cranky! <--- My Cranky Face.
Is 11:00 for concierge and platinum cruisers and 11:30 the first check in time now?

We're on vacation outside Philly this week. We were at an amusement park yesterday & it was beyond Africa hot. All I kept saying to myself was WDW in August. I don't think I'm going to survive. I may look into cancelling the WDW portion. I HATE heat.

The heat at WDW in August is what gets me through MN winters! :rotfl2: I live for the heat of Florida!

Have not even thought about packing yet. Jen - I know I am behind!! Got to get through a few more things this summer - camp, birthday party, cook outs, etc.

Get going Janeanne! :rotfl: I have to get through a bunch of things as well but I am totally in packing mode! :thumbsup2

Hopefully it's really for repairs, but I have my doubts. Our plans on 8/14 have us at MK for evening EMH and it looks like we'll be walking back to BLT (which sometimes is quicker, but I suspect I may be lugging a small child on my shoulders :rotfl2:.

Another thing that has not been communicated to us from Disney. :headache: Between finding out about the changes with the terminal opening and then finding out that I am paying to stay at a monorail resort that won't have the monorail running for evening EMH...I am just a little annoyed at Disney.

Oh boy, just ordered a bunch of cubes and that cute little bag posted a couple of weeks ago from e-bags! I love e-bags, and they love me LOL!

I have to say I love ours as well. I know that I probably could have just rolled everything in the suitcase and fit as much but it is so nice how it is all organized and appears like it won't become a disgraceful mess that happens when everything is shoved in one bag.

Ok. My excitement level for the cruise has now been upped a couple hundred percent (is that even possible?). I have officially started my pre-cruise planning/packing. I have a couple of friends that are working onboard the ship (in various capacities). I am going to put together care packages for each of them, and I just got back from the Dollar Store with some supplies. I've also started thinking ahead of exactly what outfits I'm bringing. Anyone think I'm too crazy for planning their care packages early? Or thinking about all of the outfits I want to bring? I think our documents have arrived too. Thoughts?

:cheer2::cool1::cheer2::cool1::cheer2::banana:

Totally not crazy! I have DS close to being packed. There are several things in my suitcase. We already have 1 almost full suitcase with snorkeling gear, electronic accessories and a bunch of other misc. things. I LOVE packing and believe that you must spend several weeks before vacation enjoying the anticipation through the packing process! :rotfl2:

I would be totally cranky as well. In fact, I am cranky because of the time I have. It is just going to be so interesting to see how this all plays out in the end.

Also, I have a friend down in WDW now and he says he keeps hearing talks about Disney starting to charge for FastPasses. Anyone, else hear that??

THAT IS SO NOT FUNNY! DISNEY-WHAT ARE YOU DOING???????? :confused3
Hope this one is just a rumor...

The cruise is so close yet so far away. On one hand, I think there's hardly enough time to do everything I need to before the cruise. On the other hand, I wish it was time to go right now!

I still have quite a list of things to do. I hope I can get some done this weekend. I still need to set up Magical Express :scared1:, and we're trying to decide if we're going to get annual passes to WDW if we're going to be back within the next 12 months. Not to mention setting up transfers to get from the ship to WDW after the cruise and doing our FE gifts.

Plus I still kind of want the pack-it-flat toiletry kit from eBags, and I just realized today that I might need a new pair of dressy sandals to go with the dress I bought to wear to Remy. It's like my list keeps getting longer, and nothing is getting crossed off! :confused3

I can't believe it's only five weeks away!

Is 11:00 for concierge and platinum cruisers and 11:30 the first check in time now?

Actually Concierge doesn't get a time slot. We are able to board when we get there, but as I have mentioned before we don't plan on getting to the port until around 1:00. I am sorry this has become such an issue for so many.

Count me in on this. I'm in the same boat (har har). My time is still 10:30.

I hope to get our docs from our neighbor when we pick up our mail after vacation.

I have to say I agree with you, I love the heat but this is oppressive. I love Florida in the summer BUT not WDW and the lines

Me too! Our reservation is still showing 10:30 am and I was up until midnight and beyond checking us in and making ressies. Hope it wasn't all for not... Still haven't heard from DCL or travel agent about change in port arrival time. Really just need to square away Palo ressie (add a family and get a larger table since our other friend also has a seperate reservation) and to do that I think I need to be onboard ASAP. I also need to speak with head server/dining room manager about son's allergies and re-check our linked dining reservations.

My fear is that there are twice as many people arriving for 11 am between the ones that didn't get changed (like us), those that have an 11 am arrival time, and those who don't do online check in and will show up when they feel like it. Waiting an hour later may be a good thing instead of the hurry up and wait approach. I was hoping to meet a bunch of you inside the terminal like in 2009 but with all the different arrival times that may not happen now. And I am a little bummed that I won't get a picture upon embarkation of all my traveling party.

I'm with Jen, all these changes between DCL and Parks (monorail, fast passes) have me getting bummed out about Disney, especially given what we pay for these perks between admission fees, hotel and cruise. I really want to rebook another cruise but I'm having second thoughts.:sad2:

That's what time DH and I want to get to the port, no waiting, get right on the ship.

I think this is a great time to start thinking of care packages for your CM friends. Get's you into pre-cruise mood. What kinds of things do you like to bring them?

I pm'd you. We'd like to participate if you've got room. TIA!

Glad to hear of more who want to join us!!

We mailed out a check over the weekend. Did we make the cut-off for the second wave? :goodvibes

I pm'd you for an address to send a check. Did you get the pm?

On another note, I got an email from ebags. They now have 25% off and free shipping. I'm sure you can google for the code.

Good Evening Everyone!

I am hoping I could ask for a small favor.

Our friends that our cruising with us have had a rough night. I got a call tonight from my friend that her husband had been brought by rescue to the ER for chest pain.

Her hubby has a heart condition, so, they've decided to keep him and perform a catherization tomorrow (so long as they can get him on the schedule). The doctor did say that he did not have a heart attack, but they want to perform the catherization to check for blockages. He is resting comfortably, but it is very nerve racking for all.

They are all so very excited for this trip! I tried to be as supportive as I can and told her that it would be okay.

Could I ask you all to send a little pixie dust (and a prayer, too, if you can) for the family, so that her DH is better soon and will get the all clear for this trip?

They are great people and I wish them only the best. Thank you for reading!

I'm sending some Pixie Dust!!! We will keep them in our prayers.

Karen,

He is in my thoughts and prayers. When we went through this with my father a few weeks ago I know how upsetting it can be....:grouphug::grouphug:

• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

We will be thinking of them and hope to hear that everything is fine real soon.

You're not alone. I had already starting working on our clothing lists but now have had to stop since the accident. Now, I have to wait for DH's help to pack. He looked like a deer in headlights since I told him he would have to do the majority of the packing. He's never had to do that before. Who knows how many suitcases we will end up with. :rolleyes1

Sorry. I was on my iphone & am still figuring things out on it. The code is EM12HR7M, but it expired yesterday. It was only 12 hours. SORRY!!!

Pixie dust coming your way, Karen. I'm going to stay positive and say it's good it happened now instead of just before the cruise. Now there is time to get it taken care of in time.

Thanks for posting this, although I don't plan on shipping anything to the port if I was to, this link would be much appreciated.

Karen...Well wishes for your friend, hoping everything is fine.
