Anyway I was wondering how are all the people with the injuries - Kristin, Laura, Erika ( i think) PLease for give me if I have missed anyone?

Yep, I'm one of 'em, thanks for asking Helen!! My toe still hurts but the only trouble it's really causing is my ability to get back into my clothes from my previous cruise!!! Hard to workout with it. But it's not too bad.

I love the Vinylmation idea, but the thought of packing one more large item into my suitcase is terrifying LOL! Not to mention the difficulty of finding one at this point.

I think I'm going to stick w/ pillowcases this trip.

Did I read somewhere that each stateroom can only submit two items for signatures?

If that is the case I'll just stick w/ pillowcases but if we can do more I may grab some mats for framing!

I'm soooooo pleased you posted this. To be honest I had absolutly no idea what a vinylmation was - did not know if it was an 'American' phrase for something

It looks cool and not at all what I was imagining I was thinking vinyl as in records (those things before cd's)

What is it made from ? Is it heavy?

DH is probably thinking oh no not something else to fit in the case

Wow! You all have been busy this weekend! We're back from London--it was a fun trip, but tiring because it was so short! Back to work tomorrow morning... *sigh*
We used miles to fly Business Class which was amazing! Too bad that won't happen again for a while.

I'm glad you have a fun trip.
I was born and raised in London, but since immigration to the US most of my trips back home have just been for long weekends which can be busy. The transatlantic flights are long enough to catch up on rest if you can.

Like you, I fear trying to fit another thing in our suitcase. This is our first trip flying to catch our cruise (another thing we miss from living in FL), so we have to learn not to bring so much with us.

I have NEVER been so stressed out by packing, as the time we packed for our last cruise!!! OMG, it was awful! I am not looking forward to that again! That is why I am leaving the suit coats and the floor length gown at home this trip.

I have been on ANOTHER field trip with my students , walking up and down mountains all day long : I did great !! very pleased with my brave ankle !!!

I have NEVER been so stressed out by packing, as the time we packed for our last cruise!!! OMG, it was awful! I am not looking forward to that again! That is why I am leaving the suit coats and the floor length gown at home this trip.

Totally agree !!
We fly from Milano to NYC and afterwards to Orlando !! We have to be VERY CAREFUL about luggage OR ... my DGH will have to grump and PAY $$$ for the extra weight !!

I should be planning on bringing with me ONLY a " basic black dress" for dinner + accessorize it for a different look ...

Too funny! I took part of a day off today because it is just that time of the year where it is hard to focus the whole time on school work! I had 20 hours of comp time from the extra evenings I had to work when we rolled out our iPads and I am enjoying that time now that it is spring!

I am actually having part of our FE gift sent directly to port because I fear having to pack it!

That being said...I am so sad that we won't be packing floor length gowns. My whole family LOVED formal night and it is the thing I will miss most on this cruise.

Did anyone else stay up last night to watch the space shuttle Endeavour land? I watched it online, and it was amazing! It made me want to visit Kennedy Space Center, so today I emailed our Congressman to ask about the free tickets you can get. I hope it's not too late to get tickets for August! I'd love to visit KSC the day before our cruise!

YES!!!! I loved it!! I watched it on the NASA channel. It was ony 11:30ish here so I was able to watched the whole landing, and was able to stay up and see the astronauts come out and walk around the Endeavour and then make a short speech. I also watched part of them transporting the Atlantis to the launch pad, to get ready for its launch on July 8.
I would love to visit KSC!!

Good luck! I hope you are able to get some tickets. I think my DS and DH would love to see KSC....DD - not so much!

Still feeling sad about lack of formal night. I will be picking something as dressy as I dare wear without feeling out of place for the dress up night.

I have never sent things to port. Kristin has and it has worked for her. I am really worried about it but am still going to do it because there is NO WAY I could pack the gift. Lets all cross our fingers that it works out!!!

This will be the first time that we have gone on a cruise and flown down. I'm a little concerned because I'm used to having the entire back of a SUV when we drive down to Disney and then when we get on the cruise we leave half the crap in the back. I have no idea how to pack for multiple vacations without having the luxury of using one set of bags for each leg of the trip. I even pack overnight bags seperately for the ride home. Can I do it? We shall see. We might be the ones that wear the exact same thing the whole cruise.

Does anyone live near Springfield, MA? Just saw a tornado touched down about 1/2 hour ago. We're under Tornado watch right now, but it looks like the storms will miss us.

I too, was thinking of shipping my FE gifts, but maybe to Beach Club or Country Inns for our pre-stays. I am afraid of things not making it... We're flying Delta this time around so there's a $25 per bag fee but even with roundtrip luggage costs for 4 the tickets were still less (at the time we booked) than JetBlue or Southwest. Kristin's been having awesome luck with her flights coming down and getting Southwest credits.
