My youngest, Allie, got her ears pierced at 8 too - that must be the magic age. She'll turn 9 in July. She'll be excited to meet Hanna and Hope at Vero. They'll likely find her riding the Vero slide. Last year, I'm sure she climbed those stairs 40 times in one day alone.

Hanna and Hope too love the slide!! What day are you arriving at Vero Beach??

Just checked my other post and found out they have them here too...
Disney Outlet in Hershey, Pa

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I picked up a Vinylmations last weekend from the Disney Outlet in Hershey, Pa near Harrisburg.

Phone Number is 717-520-1290

They still had a nice supply of them left.

Thanks for the tip. I dropped by the store on my way home from work and picked up a red one. They had pink, yellow, purple, red and black - multiple of each. $19.99 each.

I called my local Disney Store and they had none. Jen, can you send me the number to your store again I will try to call tomorrow!!

We just returned fro a 3 day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sky.
I can't believe that there are 19 pages of posts already on the forum since my last visit.
It was real hard not to compare our beautiful Disney ships to the ship we were on.
Our balcony cabin was tiny. We had to climb onto the bed to get out to the balcony once the sofa bed was opened in the evenings. I missed the spacious DCL cabins and dual bathrooms.
The shower felt like a washing machine tub and the bathroom was uncomfortably small.
We missed the luxury spa H2O bar soap, shower gel, lotion and hair conditioner, that DCL provided. On the Norwegian all we got was a shower gel and shampoo, nothing else.
Our soda card cost nearly $22 per person for 3 days, otherwise the only cold drinks available was water or fresh ice tea . On DCL we misssed the unlimited soda beverages and hot drinks available 24hrs a day.
This was the first time in history that my DD14 did not go to the kid's/teen club. She said it looked boring and spent the whole 3 days with her dad and I:love: When she's on the Disney ships we only see her at meal times.
We had to boat tender to their private island, with DCL you can just walk off the ship onto land, this saves alot of time.
The water float/tube cost $12 or $25 per person depending on what size you got, it's only $7.50 total on DCL for the 2 days B2B.
I looked at the dance floor and noticed they weren't as polished and gleaming like Disney's ships, but then alot of people were really having such a fun time partying this made up for all the deficits.

Oh and by the way I discovered the best tour yet in Nassau from Tripadvisor. Usually we don't do any shore excursions, but I found the Bahamas Segway and Beach Experience Tour. In Epcot your child has to be at least 16yrs. DD always wanted to try it out, she got her wish. With this group your child has to be 9yrs old or older. It's a pity that DCL doesn't offer this, but privately booked it's worth it. We had such a good time that DD definately wants to do this again in August

Thanks for the comparison! and the info on the Segway tour, I'm going to check that out!!!

Thanks, Beth...I looked since we have JB flights booked for October and the sale cut-off date ends right before we leave.....I should check my SW flights for Aug..too I think they are having a sale too!!

I was just looking at SW, the rates are looking good!! Makes me really want to fly!!! We are driving since we are going to Universal before the cruise!! I'm still hoping to get to DW before the cruise too.

Same here! The excitment is growing. I can't wait for the "Too excited to sleep night".

I can check some of the stores around here and when I go to AZ next week, I can check over there too!! They might even have some in Downtown Disney. I can check there too.

VB- Pre cruisers...Are we still going to try for a mini-meet by the pool?

I am open to Sat. or Sun. afternoon!! If it is raining then we can meet in the lobby!!:):thumbsup2

We could do everyone bring an appetizer to share out by the pool!!

Hi Kristin.....either day sounds good to us ~ heck why not both!! I'll bring chips and salsa to the pool. We arrive on the 10th, how about you? Our son is 7 1/2 he'll love meeting your girls and having a few friends before going on the cruise! Vero's pool slide is a blast :) Can't wait we are very excited! Laurie

Evening Everyone! I am so exhausted tonight - I have been reading along but almost too tired to even post. Slept horrible last night!

:faint:

Kristin - My local store told me that the Disney Stores do not have them. I called the Disney Outlet Store in Wisconsin Dells (608-253-3062) and she told me they still had them. They were $19.99 each and then the shipping was around $12 for the both of them. I would have loved to have saved on the shipping but I wasn't going to complain. The only bummer thing is that she was telling me they had the small ones for $2.00 and asked if I wanted to add any in....I did not and now wish I had. They would have just been cute without signatures.

THanks, my friend I would appreciate it!!

Both days sound great to us. We will bring some snacks too.Should we plan for Sat. & Sun. then!!

hmmm, I'll have to go through my trip stuff to see if I kept it. I think it was mainly what services would come with the package, though I'm not really sure. I will say that the cabana model was really cool and I did haul that home, though I have no idea what I'll do with it!

On an unrelated note, Skye is dying to ask Hanna if her earrings are pierced, and if so, when was she allowed to get them pierced? Skye honed into that picture of Hanna you emailed and immediately started wondering. (She is building an argument against my edict of not allowing them to get them until they are in double digits!) Hope is wondering if your Hope has pierced ears or not too, since she didn't see any earrings in the picture of her. My Hope has always said she wouldn't get hers done because it would hurt! And this is a small window into the differences b/w my two darling daughters. They were super excited to get an email from your kids. Thanks for that!:)

Hey Beth - Saw your girls' email to Keira tonight (we had swim practice tonight and by the time we got through our evening "routine" it was too late for her to respond - we'll take care of that tomorrow :)). Keira had her ears pierced 5 weeks ago - I know this because she is very adamant about following the instructions of cleaning the piercing for 6 weeks!?! Anyway - we asked her a couple of times over the last year or so and she was dead set against it (fear :scared1:). Then one day she came and asked and before she had a chance to change her mind or back out of it, DW had her out there and got it done. No tears either :)

Hmmm. Ours didn't budge. Went up in fact. Thanks, though!!

We're not seeing any movement either - except on our return day. Most of the "budget" airlines have dropped their prices for our return day, but the outbound flight from here has been rising - even within a day or two either way.
