Hi my friend!! I'm good, Randy just left for work. I don't like these hours, but they are not as bad with his ten hour shifts than they were with his twelve hour shifts.

Hi,

Hanna does have her ears pierced she got them pierced last year after a lot of begging. We finally said yes. She was 8 at the time. I will tell you we had a few friends in tow with us for "moral" support. It took about 20 minutes for Hanna to actually do it though. Hope totally chickened out and would not do it. She swears she will never do it!!

Tomorrow Hanna and Hope are Principal for the Day!! We won it at our Night Out Auction!! They have declared no homework for the entire school tonight and tomorrow night and tomorrow is costume day!! Hanna made the afternoon announcement at school today. She was sooo cute. She got on the loud speaker and said: "Good Afternoon Lake Garda School this is Hanna my sister and I are going to be your principals tomorrow. Be sure to remind your teachers that there is no homework tonight and tomorrow night. Tomorow, will also be costume day. So come in your favorite costume. I can't wait to be your principal tomorrow. See you all tomorrow!!" It was soo cute!!

That is so cute!! I bet all the kids love having them as principal with no homework and costume day!! Just think Kristin....your girls are going to be your boss tomorrow!!!

UGH!!

Ankle is ok when I first get up in the morning but by the end of the day I can barely stand the pain!! I really am wondering how I am going to make it for the next 13 days!!

Hi again! It has been very nice catching up with what everyone is up to. I have made some changes to our travel plans...Don't worry Kristin, It does not effect the FE list! LOL!! We have been booked on the Autotrain since aifare was soo high, but I have been watching them almost daily and Jetblue dropped today so I booked airfare and cancelled the train. I was also able to get a decent rental car price for Vero Beach pre-cruise, but I need to figure out our post cruise plans. I was looking forward to the train, but it added a day of traveling on each side and a 5 hour drive pre and post 17 hour train ride. I am happy with flying.
I also need to get us a hotel for the Aug 11th, since we were going to leave that day (as the travelling day) I have us flying out then but not checking in to VB until the 12th, I will call DVC tomorrow and see if I can get anything for one night or we will just get a cheap room somewhere.

As you first enter the Magic Kingdom on your right hand side. Tony's restaurant is from Lady and the Tramp. It is famous for the scene where Tramp and Lady slurp the same piece of pasta and he rolls the last meatball to her.

Okay Jeff, you've now given us the excuse to go watch that movie again. For the life of me, I can't remember that scene at all. I'm thinking that Skye and Hope are in need of emailing Sarah soon to get the chatter going about August. Kristin's twins just exchanged emails with my two and that got them super excited about the August cruise.

On an unrelated note, Skye is dying to ask Hanna if her earrings are pierced, and if so, when was she allowed to get them pierced? Skye honed into that picture of Hanna you emailed and immediately started wondering. (She is building an argument against my edict of not allowing them to get them until they are in double digits!) Hope is wondering if your Hope has pierced ears or not too, since she didn't see any earrings in the picture of her. My Hope has always said she wouldn't get hers done because it would hurt! And this is a small window into the differences b/w my two darling daughters. They were super excited to get an email from your kids. Thanks for that!

Our rule for Bethany is that she had to 1 - Ask for it, 2 - Understand that it hurts and still want to do it.

She turns 10yo in July and has finally fulfilled the requirements so she should be getting pierced sometime this summer.

Final payment is the same for everybody, 75 days out which I thought was Friday, perhaps Thursday. Either way, don't wait until next week or you might lose your reservation.

The reason people pay off their booking early is so they can book excursions, Palo, etc. It's one of the stipulations of reserving online. The tiers allows you different booking windows, but if you don't care to reserve online you can wait until the 75 day mark to pay off your cruise.

Yeah, I read this too and was concerned. I have 5/28 as the final payment date (made ours over a week ago)!

Steve sent me a travel airfare alert for Jet Blue this morning. Apparently they are having a one day sale that ends tonight at midnight. I dismissed the email as we already booked our Jet Blue reservations in January and wasn't worried about getting another flight. At the pool I asked him why he sent it since we already had our flights -- and he reminded me to make sure the JB flight I booked in Jan was cheaper than what the airline is posting today. Duh. So I just looked and the exact flights went down by $152 dollars. So I called Jet Blue and they are giving me a $152 credit with the only stipulation that I have to use it within a year.

So...any of you who booked Jet Blue I strongly advise you to check this out before the stroke of midnight!

Thanks, Beth...I looked since we have JB flights booked for October and the sale cut-off date ends right before we leave.....I should check my SW flights for Aug..too I think they are having a sale too!!

My youngest, Allie, got her ears pierced at 8 too - that must be the magic age. She'll turn 9 in July. She'll be excited to meet Hanna and Hope at Vero. They'll likely find her riding the Vero slide. Last year, I'm sure she climbed those stairs 40 times in one day alone.

Final payment is a bit of a misnomer. Often the "final payment" coincides with your tier so if you are Platinum (120 days) Gold (105 days) and Silver (90 days) you will receive a final payment notification that meets your tier deadline.

There is an assumption by DCL, and in turn the TAs that you will want to book online as soon as possible so they don't give you a final payment at 75 days (when it actually is) because you would miss out on booking excursions, Palo, Spa, etc.

The other thing that adds to the confusion is that TAs will often pad the final payment date so they have time to recieve the payment and process it in a timely fashion.

The bottom line is regardless of your tier your final payment is 75 days out, but as I said before if you don't pay in full you can't book online.
