Van/Mini Bus Question:

So the only thing left for me to book is a private car service back to the airport from Port Canaveral for 15 of us. I've looked into SpacePort and Happy Limo. With Spaceport we'd be smooshed into one van with a luggage trailer, but I've read great things about them. Happy Limo has a mini bus which seats up to 22 or 28 but have read mixed reviews about them lately.

We booked an early departure (12:20pm) which is so not like me, but I didn't want to hang around for the next flight at 6:30 pm so efficiency in picking us up at PC is necessary.

Anyone have any recommentations? :confused3

This is what we found on our stateroom bed the night before our Castaway Cay day. There was a description of the Cabana and a cute little model of it, and a book about the making of the Dream. As we were packing our luggage the next night (the 3 day was way too short!) one of the concierge hosts, Rodrigo, knocked on our door with a Ducky Williams print too. I even managed to make it home w/o bending it!

The cabana looks wonderful!! I wish it wasn't out of our price range. I would definitely enjoy that!! Thanks for sharing!

Hi all! I have been ignoring the boards lately but with our cruise coming so fast... I am getting very excited! :goodvibes So I had just had to come back and visit! It sure looks like I missed lots... it would take me weeks to catch up!

We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge for three nights afterwards. What's a Grand Gathering? And where's Tony's? :confused3

As you first enter the Magic Kingdom on your right hand side. Tony's restaurant is from Lady and the Tramp. It is famous for the scene where Tramp and Lady slurp the same piece of pasta and he rolls the last meatball to her.

I haven't paid in full for this cruise yet. I think final payment is coming due next week.

Thanks Dawn

Final payment is the same for everybody, 75 days out which I thought was Friday, perhaps Thursday. Either way, don't wait until next week or you might lose your reservation.

The reason people pay off their booking early is so they can book excursions, Palo, etc. It's one of the stipulations of reserving online. The tiers allows you different booking windows, but if you don't care to reserve online you can wait until the 75 day mark to pay off your cruise.

Wow! You all have been busy this weekend! We're back from London--it was a fun trip, but tiring because it was so short! Back to work tomorrow morning... *sigh*
We used miles to fly Business Class which was amazing! Too bad that won't happen again for a while. ;)

I have so much to catch up on here!
It looks like the FE has been sorted out while we were away--thanks so much Kristen!

Beth--you had a cabana on Serenity Bay? And that did include the snorkel equipment? I would LOVE to get one for our group of 6 on just one of our 2 CC days! (We have a few people who can't handle too much sun.) Maybe we'll get lucky.

It sounds like everyone is getting organized... still hoping for the VBR waitlist to come through, and we need to figure out transport--airfare and rental car.

The cruise is coming up so fast! Now that summer's here, it feels like it is really going to happen!

We just returned fro a 3 day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sky.
I can't believe that there are 19 pages of posts already on the forum since my last visit.
It was real hard not to compare our beautiful Disney ships to the ship we were on.
Our balcony cabin was tiny. We had to climb onto the bed to get out to the balcony once the sofa bed was opened in the evenings. I missed the spacious DCL cabins and dual bathrooms.
The shower felt like a washing machine tub and the bathroom was uncomfortably small.
We missed the luxury spa H2O bar soap, shower gel, lotion and hair conditioner, that DCL provided. On the Norwegian all we got was a shower gel and shampoo, nothing else.
Our soda card cost nearly $22 per person for 3 days, otherwise the only cold drinks available was water or fresh ice tea . On DCL we misssed the unlimited soda beverages and hot drinks available 24hrs a day.
This was the first time in history that my DD14 did not go to the kid's/teen club. She said it looked boring and spent the whole 3 days with her dad and I:love: When she's on the Disney ships we only see her at meal times.
We had to boat tender to their private island, with DCL you can just walk off the ship onto land, this saves alot of time.
The water float/tube cost $12 or $25 per person depending on what size you got, it's only $7.50 total on DCL for the 2 days B2B.
I looked at the dance floor and noticed they weren't as polished and gleaming like Disney's ships, but then alot of people were really having such a fun time partying this made up for all the deficits.

Oh and by the way I discovered the best tour yet in Nassau from Tripadvisor. Usually we don't do any shore excursions, but I found the Bahamas Segway and Beach Experience Tour. In Epcot your child has to be at least 16yrs. DD always wanted to try it out, she got her wish. With this group your child has to be 9yrs old or older. It's a pity that DCL doesn't offer this, but privately booked it's worth it. We had such a good time that DD definately wants to do this again in August

Glad you had a nice cruise!!

THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU from ITALY to our dear Kristin !!!

Yes -- the snorkeling stuff was offered for all day too. Just let your cabana host know your needs when you get there. Now do realize everyone, that I'm not sure if it was just a great day to get these things I've been mentioning in my posts or if they are regular cabana items. I really didn't see too many people using snorkel equipment. I only snorkeled once (most of the time I was in one of those small chairs dabbling my toes in the water with a big smile on my face), but my DH took full advantage of snorkeling. There were a few people who came back from the part near the buoys (too far for me) who actually had some conch shells. Don't know if they were allowed to take them home or not. All over Serenity Bay were very pretty white shells and I did bring a couple of small ones home for the girls to make a necklace.

Thanks, for the pictures Beth!! What did the cabana paper say??

Good Evening my friend!! How are you??

Hi my friend!! I'm good, Randy just left for work. I don't like these hours, but they are not as bad with his ten hour shifts than they were with his twelve hour shifts.
How are you doing?

hmmm, I'll have to go through my trip stuff to see if I kept it. I think it was mainly what services would come with the package, though I'm not really sure. I will say that the cabana model was really cool and I did haul that home, though I have no idea what I'll do with it!

On an unrelated note, Skye is dying to ask Hanna if her earrings are pierced, and if so, when was she allowed to get them pierced? Skye honed into that picture of Hanna you emailed and immediately started wondering. (She is building an argument against my edict of not allowing them to get them until they are in double digits!) Hope is wondering if your Hope has pierced ears or not too, since she didn't see any earrings in the picture of her. My Hope has always said she wouldn't get hers done because it would hurt! And this is a small window into the differences b/w my two darling daughters. They were super excited to get an email from your kids. Thanks for that!:)

Hi,

Hanna does have her ears pierced she got them pierced last year after a lot of begging. We finally said yes. She was 8 at the time. I will tell you we had a few friends in tow with us for "moral" support. It took about 20 minutes for Hanna to actually do it though. Hope totally chickened out and would not do it. She swears she will never do it!!

Tomorrow Hanna and Hope are Principal for the Day!! We won it at our Night Out Auction!! They have declared no homework for the entire school tonight and tomorrow night and tomorrow is costume day!! Hanna made the afternoon announcement at school today. She was sooo cute. She got on the loud speaker and said: "Good Afternoon Lake Garda School this is Hanna my sister and I are going to be your principals tomorrow. Be sure to remind your teachers that there is no homework tonight and tomorrow night. Tomorow, will also be costume day. So come in your favorite costume. I can't wait to be your principal tomorrow. See you all tomorrow!!" It was soo cute!!
