Just found part 3, three pages in already.

Hope all the moms had a great Mothers Day.

The countdown continues ...

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mothers out there!
Just an FYI, there is also a public beach right next to the port in Nassau, we went there last Oct. and it was nice. There are people out renting chairs and there are bathrooms, but no food or drinks. You do pass a Mc.Donalds and a Burger King on the way there. Very close to the pier less than 5 min. walk. Nice mellow water no big waves like over at Cabbage Beach.

We'd love to do a quick visit to the beach without having to ferry over to Paradise Island. Where do you find this beach? Do you turn left or right when you get out of the port security building ?

That's the day :)

Wow, I didn't realize that it's so soon!!! Can't believe how fast the countdown is going.

I reserved the Hilton Beach day/Nassau through Island Marketing. If anyone else is interested in walking over with us, we would love some company.

Tunxis Meade in Farmington

We played in a tournament there last year too. Pretty area.

Yeah, it is a nice area. DH goes there three times a week for boot-camp.....

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Enjoy, the day!!

Spoke with Candy last night they had a FAB. time on their cruise.......Safe Travels home Candy & Randy!!

area is beautiful.

there is a farmington polo ground right near the tunxis golf course that is the new site for the Hartford Concorso. It's in its 11th year, open free to the public, raises money for the Conn childrens med center and other entities ... all locals welcome to check it out ... on fathers day June 19

Yours truly will be there with his prancing horse :)

:)Hello! Made it to the new thread...

Hope everyone had a happy mother's day. This weekend was pretty quiet for us. I did go see Thor with DH. Suprisingly, I enjoyed the movie. Then we went to Cold Stone and I had the Churro Caramel Crave which was delicious. A new favorite...

We celebrated "Mother's Day" morning on Saturday. Dd & dh made pancakes for me and I opened all of my wonderful handmade gifts from both kids.

Yesterday we woke up at the crack of dawn and walked in Race for the Cure (1 mile since ds-5 is out of the stroller but not quite up to 5k!).

We had a beautiful day here in Philly for the event and after we walked, spent some time in the children's tent which the kids liked a lot.

After we left RFTC, we headed over to the other side of town to a small park called Franklin Square. If you are ever visiting Philly w/ younger kids I highly recommend it. The park is close to all the historic stuff and a nice place to hang and let them run around! They have a playground, carousel, and miniature golf (Philly themed!) as well as a small burger stand to get food.

We spent a few hours at Franklin Square and then headed home for a short nap and then off to Outback for dinner! YUM!

All in all a great day.

Hope all the other moms had just as much fun! :thumbsup2

CONGRATS, on doing the Race For The Cure!!

Laura...Where in Italy are you? Please give me famous cities so I will know LOL
My daughter and I were looking at Perillo tours last night, actually their tour to Italy isn't priced to bad considering you get many meals and guided tours.
I looked at Adventures by Disney but they didn't have Pompeii and she really wants to go to Pompeii.
Beautiful cake, looks quite yummy! Are you and DGH originally from Italy or did you move there from here for work?

:wave2: CIAO !!
WE :goodvibes are 100% Italian : born in Italy , always lived in Italy !!!
As you can guess ;):rotfl: ITALIAN is our first language !!
We speak a bit of English as Marco works for a multinational corporation and travels for his job all over the world , from Australia / New Zealand to China ;I have been fortunate enough as to meet friends all over UK and US ( where we have been vacationing every Summer over the last 15 or so years ).

Our home is in MILANO ( Northern Italy ) , about 4 hours by car from VENICE ; Marco goes quite often to ROME or NAPLES for his job , when he is in Italy. When he was a kid , he lived a few years in CATANIA , Sicily !!!
 Are THESE famous cities ? that maybe you and DD would like to visit some day ?

laura:flower3:

:rolleyes1 Speaking of ITALY ...

how do you like the latest Disney ears hat ?? :cool1::cool1:

Cool, isn't it ?!! laura :thumbsup2

Got locked out of Palo brunch online but should be able to get it once onboard - only adult dining thing DW really wants to do. I'd love to do Remy again but doubt it will work out with the kids for 3+ hrs at that time.

I got around to making ADR's at crystal palace, fultons crabhouse, teppan edo for our pre-cruise WDW time. DD can't wait to check out the Lego store at downtown Disney!!

I am wondering if I want to keep the DCL transport from Poly to port versus getting a private car to go when we want. I would like to be there for 11:45 boarding

We usually like to arrive to port with a town car or limo ...it depends :rolleyes1 on how much we want to splurge ...
To us it's very relaxing to depart from resort WHEN WE LIKE ... and "dream" / chat about the cruise along the drive ; when the driver points out : THAT'S YOUR SHIP ... :dance3: it's one of my favorite moments of our whole vacation .................:cloud9:

We're still debating this here. 2 votes yes, 2 votes to say on the ship... I', the swing vote - decisions.... decisions... decisions.... :confused3

I think your command of the English language here is quite good actually :thumbsup2 Do you have to spend a lot of time translating the stuff that is written here every day?

Just checking - is there an updated FE list? I wanted to make sure that we were added.

Thanks,
Ginny
