The good thing being that ... DGH brought home a delicious / ready to eat / dinner and a new hand-made icecream from a nearby artisan GELATERIA : MARACUJA' !!! Sweet tropical flavor , I can pretend I am on the Dream in the Caribbean sea !!!

Hope you get better fast!!! I was gone from the boards for a few days and am finally catching up.

I booked the 2 night NYC, just DH and I. Thought it would be a nice getaway without the kids and easy enough since it's so close to home. I can easily get a family member to stay with the boys for 2 nights. Im just a little nervous since we have the fantasy booked the next month. I'm going to have to work on paying these off right after we step off of the Dream

Does anyone know when Silver can start making ressies for Palo. I want to mark it on the calendar.

and what about your red-beauty ? Is it still under cover ? are you waiting for warmer days ?

Here in Italy we see those Ferrari "flying" about all year long - except on "icy-snow" days ...
I am learning from this thread that around NYC weather is very cold in Winter ... which I cannot well understand as you are on the same latitude as Naples - where warm days are the majority , also in Winter time ...

Can you drive the Ferrari into NYC ? in that slow going traffic ? what about the speed limits on your highways ?

last night I watched Bill Cosby: Himself on cable-- it was made in 1983. He was talking about his new ferrari, that he purchased for $17,000!!!!!

I couldn't wait any longer - I re-activated the insurance yesterday, took the cover off and brought the prancing horse to life! The weather was very nice yesterday and I went for a nice drive. My red head mistress (as my wife calls it) is like a drug but it keeps me out of trouble most the time.

I live in central CT and have very nice bucolic roads to drive. I won't take it into NYC with the traffic and crummy roads.

I usually meet up with a bunch of fellow gear heads on Sunday mornings for cars and coffee - that will be staring up again soon.

Someday I want to visit Italy and Modena where the Ferrari factory is.

Really wish you a speedy recovery....

I remember that!

I have friends with cars from that time (think Magnum PI) and they are actually worth 30-40K well maintained.

Cars are depreciating assets in most cases but some Ferraris can hold or rise in value.

Happy Sunday Laura!

Another race day here for me. 10K race on a Sunday morning.... felt like crap to put it bluntly! Cold, cloudy, and damp out as well.... Looking for summer like weather here tomorrow though.

Yes. I'm pretty sure that's it. In November I set my alarm to wake me up at 11:50, made the ressies and went back to sleep. I hope I can get a Palo ressie. We have 2 sea days so, we might have some luck since it'a a longer cruise.

Had a busy weekend with softball and my refrigerator dying But the good news is I got to buy one of the new french door, freezer on the bottom, stainless steel ones!! I had a side by side which I HATED!!

So, we finally have our flights booked and our room reservations made. We got a grand villa at Old Key West and we're so excited about it. My family from Florida is coming to stay with us for a couple of days so it will be nice to see them. We're be celebrating Phillip's birthday that weekend with my family since his actual birthday is during the cruise.

I just made reservations for the Pirate League at MK for Phillip, Katerina, my niece, and my 2 nephews. Phillips loves pirates (actually he's dressed in his pirate costume right now as I type this), so I think the kids will love. it.

Now, we have to figure out what else we want to do...
