Yes, the onsite hotels are not cheap. That's why we've only booked 1 night in the onsite hotel and may not even sleep there. But it's still cheaper if you factor in the value of the express pass for 4 people for 2 days if that was something you would consider buying. (Course it doesn't work on the HP ride.) We based our decision to book there on those numbers, and it came out cheaper.

We'll most likely skip Universal altogether. Aside from the HP stuff, Universal doesn't really interest us much, especially since I don't do thrill rides. It does make sense to book the onsite hotel over buying the express passes though, especially since you have four people.

Opening Day tomorrow for my DS11 soccer team. Go Revolution 98's! :cheer2:

Busy thread today, for a Saturday!

Universal hotels: I've stayed at both HRH and RP. I liked the rooms better at HRH, but either hotel is an easy walk. RP is closer to IOA and Citywalk. Would not consider Universal without onsite stay during summer months. All those bars for waits scare me, do they really fill up?:scared1:

We're offsite at our timeshare week before cruise, but moving to Beach Club for one night (Sunday) and then Country Inn for Monday night. Lots of moving, but looking forward to each stay!

New Englanders, the rumors are getting louder that Magic will be in NYC next summer!!!! Hopefully official announcement this week. :woohoo:

We will be at CIS on Monday night (spending the day at KSC) and doing a free dining stay at WL until the Friday after the cruise.

I liked the red lanyard...but yellow is my favorite color so I would lean more towards yellow. ;)

I just read this--but they are saying the only stops will be overnight at Port Canaveral and Castaway Cay. We've done an NCL cruise out of NYC to PC and the Bahamas... not sure I would sail down the eastern seaboard again--it was pretty cold and rough, even in June. I'm hoping for the Wonder to be back in Alaska in 2012... The Magic in Europe was our 2nd choice.

I am curious about the official announcement on itineraries. We have 2 cruises booked for next summer, a double dip on Dream and Eastern on Fantasy BUT they are really "dummy" dates as I won't know until June 1st exactly which 2 summer weeks 2012 I can take off. I am willing to move them around and change itineraries

We also have a "dummy" date cruise booked on the Fantasy but will change if the itineraries are something GREAT!!

I can hardly wait for the 2012 announcement. We have a dummy date booked and waiting.

I'm hoping for Galveston...which according to the rumor mill is looking like may come to pass.

I'm already sailing Spring Break in March 2012 so if the choices aren't intriguing and the prices in line with the other lines, I'll let my dummy go....but hoping it works out.

That cruise will be # 11 so we'll be Platinum baby! :cool1::goodvibes

We've been working towards that for many years!

I would love to see NYC that would mean no airfare for us.....I really wonder what DCL will do??

I really do think it will be season in NY and half the season in Galveston or Houston. No airline fare for you.... No Airline fare for me!!

At least we won't have to wait to hear much longer.

I know I can't wait to hear. What time is the announcement scheduled for?? I have to sub. in Kindergarten on that day....UGH!!

I too am looking forward to the announcement. I am pulling for NY since I live here and that would save us a fortune on airfare, even if the cruise is a bit more $$$. But I dont think it will be much more costly but they may have more at sea days. I like the at sea days.

But back to this cruise...was just able to save about $100 on our auto-train booking! Yeah! airfare still thru the roof, so I am really embracing the train ride!

Lazy weekend here, with a little over 4 mos to go till we sail the diet is starting tomorrow!!

Can I ask how long is the auto train ride and how much? PM if you don't want to put it here

Good Afternoon everyone! I hope you all are having a great weekend. We did not do much. Just came back from church and dinner at Outback Steakhouse. Now, we are about to go outside and get some fresh air. So, I just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Good luck with the diet. I have started eating healthier, cutting back, and exercising more too. I have been doing so off and on but I want to get serious now. I have already lost 15 pounds and am hoping to do the same before the cruise. So, maybe we can be diet buddies.

I'm trying to start a diet too, but it's really hard since I'm pretty much stuck with college food until the semester ends in May. And as for the nutritional value of most college food... :scared1:

My boyfriend and I decided we would try to get in shape for the cruise together, only he doesn't want to start until the semester ends, so I'm doing it on my own for now. I don't really have too much weight to lose, but I'd like to get it to move away from my belly. :rotfl:

Add me to the weight loss list! I had lost 14 pounds before our last cruise and they have all come back! I have zero willpower LOL! This week will be the worst. It is dress rehearsals and performances for my dd's show, which means no normal dinners this week, which sure doesn't help anything!

Add me to the I need to/want to lose weight before the cruise group, Amanda crunches will tighten your abs.
Maybe we should pick a date to start losing weight, go over to the weight loss threads and start an 8/16 thread.

Who's in for moral support to lose weight?
