Wow! It seems like I've missed a lot while I've been gone...

The move to PA was smooth. The kids love the new house, neighborhood, etc. We're still adjusting to the weather though. When does it normally start to warm up around here?

We'll be going to NYC for the day on Saturday to take my DD to the American Girl Store for her b.day. We're all very excited about that.

We definitely want to be a part of the FE Exchange. I'm not sure about the lanyards yet, we always end up with so many of them...I do like the idea of the shirts though. Will that still be something that people are doing?

I am sorry that you could not get a reservation at American Girl. I would check the desk while your in the store sometimes they have openings the day of!!

It's been a few years now since I've been there, but there was another place on the same block as AG entrance that was a two story restaurant that had doll high chairs. Sorry, I can't remember the name.


Another fun restaurant is Ellen's Stardust Diner. The servers are all Broadway actors and take turns performing. Tips pay for singing lessons. It's across from Mars 2112.

If you want a great family style restaurant with Italian cuisine, go to Carmine's Mmmmmm
If you go online you can see the menu, but remember you would only order 2 items for a family of 4, the portions are HUGE!

This exactly! I keep thinking of ideas and then changing my mind.

I already have some of my FE gifts ............ in fact I came home today with TWO more !!!!
but I know Marco / DGH is still working on a project !
and I myself still have to "find" some things !

To be honest , I would like a FE group with no more than 20 cabins ; we fly from Italy to NYC and then to Orlando : so we have to be sure that our luggage weight isn't too high ...
We got "inspected" before a previous flight - and it was hard to explain WHY I was carrying ALL those items / gifts ; most were similar and the lady at the customs office thought I wanted to SELL them in the USA !!!!!
It wasn't a nice 10-minutes discussion !!!

Also WHAT DO YOU THINK ? Shall we put on the FE "gifts" our family name - or at least the screen name ???

Our cruise surely seems closer NOW !!

I agree with no more than 20, it can get quite expensive. I put my name on ours last time, I like knowing who the gifts are from.

I think the plan is to shoot for 20, but if we end up with 40-50, we might have to divide them in two groups of 20-25. If we get more than that we can divide it into 3 groups. Does that make any sense?
We'll figure it out the closer it gets to PIF date.

Just down the block is John's Pizzeria if one is looking for something on a smaller scale. Love their pizza (service is a bit uneven though).

At first I thought that it would be nice before the cruise because then we could relax on the ship after a few tiring days in the parks. We faced the same dilemma - so we chose both before and after!
Actually we won't be touring the parks post-cruise though - just relaxing at the resort, etc.

Personally, we don't like the thought of getting off the ship and being whisked off to the airport for a trip home. If we were forced to make a single choice it would be post-cruise.

We chose to do before the cruise to go with the relaxing part after WDW. However, WDW is less expensive after the cruise in this case (low season rates). That may factor in your decision.

The parks might be a little quieter the week when we return with kids back in school. Exception may be if there is free dining offer.

I don't mind yellow, but you could go with red, from the lettering, or a blue, from Stitch and Goofy?

I don't mind the yellow either, because it is bright enough so we can spot each other on deck.

Thanks for all the input on WDW before vs after the cruise everyone. I'm leaning towards after now. It makes more sense logistically, plus it looks like both WDW and flights would be less expensive. And hopefully crowds would be a little lower, which is always a plus! Next on my list: find a time machine that will fast forward us all a few months!

Yes , it's so sad when you get off those MAGICAL ships and fly directly home !!!

In fact after the cruise we will be visiting NYC for a couple of days ... for a ... SMOOTH return to real life after almost 3 weeks of Disney magic !!!!!!
