Great! One question for you on the logo. Any chance of getting the Dream in the background? I know she wasn't out when the logo was first created, but since you're making updates thought I'd ask...

I can see if I can get that done with the logo. I will try.

I used this logo already for my FE gifts. Hope that is ok!!

Hi Everyone! My family and I have been booked on this cruise since the day it was available to be booked, back in November '09. It is the first Disney cruise for DH and I, and our kids' first cruise, ever. Our daughter will turn 8 on August 14th, and our son will be 6 on August 5th. We will be at the Beach Club Villas for 6 nights before the cruise. We are in a category 5A cabin. I really want to fly home the day the cruise ends, but right now airfare is crazy high for that day, so I'm waiting to book in the hopes it comes down. If it doesn't, we'll head to Kidani Village for the night and fly home the next day.

We are very excited for our first DCL cruise, and would love any tips and/or advice from the veteran cruisers. DH and I haven't been on a ship in over 9 years, so we feel like complete newbies. Thanks for any help you may have for us. :goodvibes

Hi Kristin!

We have a lot in common! I also booked this cruise the first day we could....boy it has been a LOOOONNNGG wait!! We are also staying BCV pre-cruise, but, we are checking in Aug 11. Our DD has a b-day on Aug 8 (she'll be 9) and we are in a cat 5A as well...room 9068. We are also New Englanders :)

You are all in for an AWESOME trip!! This is our second cruise so I am not as saavy as some others on our thread, but, I'd be happy to share anything I can help with!

Given how quickly this cruise sold out, there aren't that many onboard who didn't book either the first day or at least by the end of 2009!

I remember booking a 9A cabin the morning Silvers could book (around 7:30 - 7:45am, even before the lines officially opened), and the 9As were selling in GTY status by 8:15am. I naively thought I would have no problems rebooking it, so I didn't use my only onboard booking at the time (which I'd booked the WBTA with), since I was sailing just 3 weeks after bookings opened in December 2009. I never have been able to rebook my 9A room! (Had I known I would eventually cancel and rebook the WBTA at a discount rate that negated the onboard booking, I would have used that reservation for this one, but greatly underestimated the popularity of a summer cruise.)

welcome aboard!!

Hi

I am missing info. from the following:

Beatrice and Brenda-need email and family name

Also need Jim and Terri-email and family name, and room number!!

Kristin and I are going through the FE list and we are getting things organized.
When sending the information to Kristin, please, it very important to include: email address, last name, room number, name and ages of children, names and number of adults, and dis name.

Email address is very important. After dividing up the groups into 20 or so (depending on the exact amount of those participating) we will be emailing everyone the lists of those in their groups. We decided to make May 18 (final payment due date) the last day to sign up. That will give those who want to order FEs enough time to do so. Thanks :goodvibes

Hi Karen! So, um.... we're in cabin 9072! How funny is that? We sure do have a lot in common. I agree; it has been a looooong wait for this cruise. I'm sure it will be well worth it. My kids are so excited. I wonder if we'll be neighbors at BCV, too? ;) Are you flying home after the cruise? What airport do you use? We can fly out of MHT or BOS. So far the prices to fly home on the 21st are out of control high. So I'm debating staying that night at WDW, then flying home Monday when it is a lot cheaper. The other thing I'm undecided on is how to get to/from the port. We would either take the Disney bus or use a towncar service. Any advice would be great!

welcome aboard!!

Thanks!

Friendly email reminder today from DCL to start planning our "adventures"!! :thumbsup2 Less than two months now to start booking! Getting closer.....

I got that as well today. I have to pay my final payment on April 18th so I can have concierges book my stuff!! YEAH!!:cool1::banana:

Evening everyone! We haven't gotten an email from DCL yet. That's pretty exciting though!!
We have had some pretty crazy weather around here. It was so stormy yesterday...lots ot rain and very windy. We recieved 7-8 inches of rain in 24 hours. That is unheard of here in Southern California. I have lived here my whole life and have never seen that much rain. And of course I had meetings to go to last night. I literally drove through water from curb to curb.

Love the graphic DGH!!!! Welcome aboard mousefan1972!!

We're from MA, too. We usually fly Southwest from MHT, but this time, we're going from BOS on JetBlue (8/11-8/21). My DD turns 4 on 8/10. Welcome aboard.

Too funny! Those are our EXACT same dates and we are flying Jet Blue from BOS. I wonder if we are on the same flights :)

We prefer SW from MHT, but Jet Blue had some pretty decent prices when we booked in Nov and Feb.

Thank you!

Too funny!! So, we are booked w/Jet Blue out of BOS for 8/11-8/21. I booked our outbound flight in Nov and got a pretty decent rate. I was watching the flights home for a while and finally decided to book in Feb. It was WAY more than we have spent in the past (We also go out of MHT or sometimes Portland) but I have to go back to work on that Monday (and pick up our doggie) so Monday was not an option for us.

We are taking a towncar service (van) with our friends to the port. We have done this in the past and really liked doing that as opposed to taking the Disney transportation, as we want to get there earlier than Disney picks up. I don't know if stating the name of the towncar service violates the terms here, so if you need info, just PM me :)

Looking forward to meeting you!!

Where are you flying out from?? I check everyday and I have not noticed any reductions!! We are taking the train...but if we could fly for a resonable amount...I would!

Hi everyone
I noticed alot of people have been having airfare problems.
I'm flying out of New York City.
I've been watching the airfares go up from $179 RT on American for months. I could have kicked myself for forgetting to book the tickets I had on hold last year. Delta started out at $235 RT last November. I managed to book from LGA to MCO oneway on August 13th for $97, the day Airtran opened the dates.
Delta went up to $286 one way for return on August 21st, so I signed up online with YAPTA.
Last week airfare dropped to $141 one way for 21st. So booked and now we're definately coming on the Dream.
To save on luggage if you're not flying first or business class it's best to find an airline that doesn't charge ie Jet Blue, SouthWest or get a special card such as the Delta credit card, that allows everyone on your reservation to fly without paying extra baggage fees.
Good Luck All.
