Hi Laura!
No, I was just looking at the Blue Lagoon Beach day. It includes floats, lunch, chairs. Just a day at the beach.
The Dolphin Encounter does look nice though. We did the one in Cozumel last time, it was great.

Are you planning on any excursions?

:goodvibes We have been in Nassau many times - so I'm not sure what we want to do that day ...
I'd like to visit the Forts and the Junkanoo exhibit , I'm very much into History & traditions ... :lmao: TEACHER's soul !!!

:rotfl: OF COURSE I know I'll be wanting to look around for some shopping , maybe at the STRAW MARKET :thumbsup2 I know it's a "tourist trap" ...
but ... hey , I am a tourist !!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We live in NJ too. I booked Southwest out of Philly, the flights have definately been creeping up. With SW, they don't charge for baggage so, it's a big savings. I had to change a flight time already and there's no fees to switch. They're prices seem higher out of Newark.

We will be flying down on Thursday night and staying at BLT until Tuesday morning. We haven't stayed there before.

We have booked flights with Delta / paying in EUROS .
:teacher: We paid for each of us about 320 US $ (including taxes) for round trip NYC-Orlando : what do you think ? A ROBBERY ??

( we had to book early - as our intercontinental flights CANNOT be changed :confused3 and we had to have the very last night flight out of NY ...)

I did mark on the calendar to pay the balance by May 1st so I can try to book online starting May 2nd (for Gold level).

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 GOOD idea !!!!
OFF to mark ;) on OUR calendar as well !!!

Marco doesn't want to book Palo though - he claims HE EATS NORTHERN ITALY CUISINE :rotfl: EACH AND EVERY DAY !!!
Besides we did so many meals at Palo over the past cruises ... :confused3
and HE doesn't want to bring a jacket !!!!!!!!!!!:teeth:

Lots of Italian food eaten here! As my wife likes to remind us - there are two kinds of people here- Italians and those who want to be Italian! :rotfl:

Her family origin was scattered about Italy - Naples, Ascoli Satriano (spelling?) - where their last name was derived from when they came to the USA, and her mom's side is from Calabria.

I'm just planning to enjoy family , to have some food shopping done ... and to rest !!!!

Ciao , laura

That's exactly why i'm on the fence!! I'm not crazy about Nassau and I'm also thinking should we just spend the day on the ship with less people.

That's always a good plan. Port Day = great spa/pool/etc day!! ;)

We booked on SW for a trip to MCO out of PHL for end of June (DS is attending a conference) about 3 weeks ago and the prices were pretty good. Went to book the cruise flights and wow! Continental has a stranglehold up in Newark on the Florida routes - fares there are horrible.

We are also staying @ BLT pre-cruise. Our first visit there as well.

I would like to do a DIS meet. On my past cruises we met in the Promenande Lounge. I know there is not one on the Dream so are there other suggestions?

Hey everyone sorry I have been MIA!!

The Auction that I have been organizing for our school is finally here. It is tomorrow. YEAH!!

We have such great stuff for it. From tickets to Disney, two cruises, a townhouse in Milan Italy, a diamon bracelet, as well as 94 silent auction items. I can't wait.

Went today to get new shoes....for the night....

Hope everyone is well. Hoping, we make a ton of Money for the school tomorrow night....

Harry, did you get your airfare booked for Aug. yet??

I'll take that Milan townhouse!!!

Booked the Autotrain for August and keeping an eye on airfares. We are also now going down in June as Tim has a school thing in Orlando. $3K in airfare for both trips is over-the-top!

Hi,

My family (me, DW, DD(16), DS (11) and DMIL) will be sailing on the Dream too! I hope the Dream has plenty of bars since DMIL will be in my cabin! just kidding:rotfl2:

If there's a support group for bags PLEASE let me know. Guilty!!:rotfl2:

And then the rains came...well, all of our snow is now replaced with mud, rivers, streams, etc. It has been raining here on and off for the past week. What a mess!

I did take advantage of the crummy weather yesterday and made some reservations...CI&S for Monday night, car rentals for the week before and departure day (but I have no flights yet :scared1: may end up driving) and will book today Beach Club for Sunday-Monday before cruise (discounts start that day so it wasn't bad). We are staying at our timeshare that is Sunday-Sunday so we need a place and the kids have wanted to stay there for ever so we'll just chill by the pool for two days then head over to CI&S Monday night.

No idea what our friends and family that are cruising with us will do. I think everyone's arriving on their own schedule so we may not have any park days together beforehand.

I did mark on the calendar to pay the balance by May 1st so I can try to book online starting May 2nd (for Gold level). Trying for Palo dinner and Catamaran in Nassau. If it doesn't work out we'll just stay on the ship in Nassau.

Happy Friday!

We will be at CI&S Mon night too! We are going to Universal for 3 days before the cruise. We are driving. You will love Beach Club and Stormalong Bay! It's a great place to chill. We love Beaches & Cream too. YUM!

We're still torn on whether to get off in Nassau or not (been there done that, etc). I have "fears" of crowded pools and Aqua Duck lines and maybe the Nassau day will provide relief? DW will definitely want to get off for a bit to do some shopping I'm sure though :rotfl:

I'm not sure what we are going to do in Nassau either. We will probably just get off the ship and do some shopping!! I would like to do Atlantis, but it's soo expensive!

WOW! Our school's raffle/carnival fundraiser is today, too. Your items are INCREDIBLE!!! How on earth did you get folks to donate such big items to auction? I'm sue it's going well for you based on all the effort you've put in.

I've booked 3 non-Disney hotels for before the cruise. I really want on property, but I'm CHEAP! We'll see where we end up. The plan right now is to stay on the ship in Nassau. Been there, done that. From what I've seen on the boards, lots of people do the same thing so the ship won't be as empty. I'll wave to everyone off the ship from the aquaduck. ;)

Any word on the FE? I want to start making my gifties but I want to see the breakdown of families. I know there was talk about folks getting no more than 20 cabins. Is that the plan? How/when will they be divided?

Just booked airfare :banana::banana: Originally I was only looking at Southwest and JetBlue because of the free bags, but talked to our friends last night who were booking Delta with miles so I looked them up this morning and they were cheapest, even adding bags for both ways. BDL to MCO is under $300. I'm happy (and even happier that I'm not driving now)

It sounds like a lot of us may be staying on the boat in Nassau, might not be too quiet afterall...but certainly less crowded than a sea day.

Interested in status of FE too, I know we're 5 months out but the OCD in me is starting to itch to get things moving.

The sun's shining, weather is mild. It's a great Saturday!:hippie: Enjoy the weekend.
