August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 2

Hi Everyone,

Hope eveyone is enjoying their weekend. I am looking forward to the short week this week. Happy, to have the family home for a long weekend. I think we might go and see Tangled!!

We had a GREAT night last night hanging out with the Allards. Thanks, for coming over guys!! It was fun talking about the cruise and checking out the location of our rooms, etc......We all said that we wished the cruise was sooner........

Morning Everyone!

We are spending the weekend getting ready for Thanksgiving. Yesterday I did almost all of the shopping. Today will be a laundry day with a bit of cleaning. Thankfully it is only a really small group this year (only 8 of us) and so it is pretty low key.

I wanted to start the day with a run today but EVERYTHING is coated with a layer of ice...so scary out there! We drove to the store to get our Sunday paper and our van slipped all over the road. It took us 2 tries at our driveway to get back into the garage. I guess I will not be running.

I am working on putting together some things for a huge Christmas surprise for the kids and need to work on that as well.

Kristen - Sounds like you much have had a nice night with the Allard's. I didn't call because I didn't want to interrupt you guys.

It would have been fun to have a conference call of sorts and talk about the cruise!

The weather here today is SO BAD and I am trying not to look outside. I so wish that we were someplace warmer right NOW!

We leave on the tenth staying at Vero until the 16th then we'll drive to Port that morning!! how about you?

Hi -

We are leaving on the 12th and heading to the Hard Rock at Universal until the 16th. We have never been...so looking forward to it. We are also traveling with another family too that have never been on a Disney cruise...can't wait to get them hooked like us!

I have a question... If I want to book rooms for this cruise for my family can I book 3 rooms on our December cruise (since there are 3 of us traveling) and then use all 3 rooms to get the 10% off on this crusie? Would I have to book the rooms under my kids names?

Thanks Helen!

I am working hard right now on prepping for tomorrow. I have the turkey ready to go in the oven. The dough is formed into rolls and is sitting rising. The potatoes are peeled and ready to be cut, cooked and made into mashed potatoes. All the casseroles are put together and are waiting to bake. The stuffing is also prepped and ready to go.

Thankfully the house is cleaned as well so tomorrow it will just be coordinating all the baking and setting the table for all the guests.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day! My day started at 6:30am as I headed out for an 8AM race here in Hilton Head. It was a perfect morning for a race. Temps around 60 - excellent weather. I dropped some time in the race, but really was hoping to do a bit better. I got hung up in a big crowd at the start and wasn't able to break out of it for a bit. Had a wonderful Thanksgiving at HHI - Turkey Bowl, excellent dinner, campfire, - most of the day in the pool and at the beach (temps hit 79 here today).
