I took Beth (9yo dd) on a field trip to the new Disney store down in Cherry Hill, NJ. It is about an hour away (a little less if I didn't keep taking the wrong forks in the roads!).
Really nice...huge "jukebox" video screen, coloring area for kids, Custom Cars vehicle station (a la build a light saber, just more $$$)...but all the same merchandise as a regular store, which was a bit disappointing.
So it was worth the trip but I don't think I would go out of my way to go there with any regularity....especially since there are regular stores 5 min from where I work and 10min from where I live.
I am still interested in seeing the new store in Times Square though!
I did take advantage of the 20% off friends and family sale while I was there and picked up some tshirts for August!
We also hit the Cherry Hill store this weekend (though it's only 20 mins. for us). Nothing spectacular or unique (other than they actually OPENED a Disney Store instead of closing one!). I was in NYC last week also, went past the new store, but it was too crowded and I was short on time to go in for a sneak peak. The whole family is headed in NYC the weekend after Thanksgiving so we'll check it out then.
Things are starting to feel real now that we have booked, well, part of our trip to FL! Southwest opened up their flights until "August 12" so we were able to book our flight down at least for our pre-cruise trip at Universal. After looking at all the new photos and video footage of the Dream, I am soooooooo glad we booked the cruise when we did! Can't wait!!

I wish I would have known about the Disney Store in Cherry Hill. I was in NJ visiting my parents and we could have gone. I had a fun weekend though. We took DS to the aquarium and the Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill. DS had a wonderful time.

Discovery Museum is nice.... Haven't been to the aquarium in awhile though...
Just curious....we booked our flight today too what kind of a price did you get? Ours was $123.00 from PVD to MCO. Now we have to wait until February to book our return flight back home.

The Discovery Museum was very nice. DS definitely wants to go back again.Discovery Museum is nice.... Haven't been to the aquarium in awhile though...
The aquarium is expensive. I was so glad that my mother treated us. But, it was something worth doing. The Camden Aquarium is really nice now that they expanded it. It's pricey though so we don't go all that often.
Hi Laurie -
Yes, that is exactly what we booked from PVD. When are you heading out?
