We aren't changing our plans...it is our first DCL cruise and to be honest, I don't want to delay it any longer than I have to! (we were originally supposed to go THIS summer but life intervened)

I do have a question...

Are there autograph books available on the ship (I would imagine there are, but had to ask)? If so, are they the same as the ones available in the parks or are they DCL specific?

Yes, you can get autograph books on the ship. I know you can also order them online at disneyshopping.com they are the same ones that you can get in the parks. You may want to do that since there are characters in the terminal before you board.

Received a DCL mailing today (actually two of the same notice for some reason?) confirming what most of us have already discovered here already - our assigned show time.

They only announced sailings through March '12 for the Magic, right? It would be very nice to save some $$$ on airfare and all that!!

Yes, I noticed that too this evening that they only announced through March 2012. There is still hope. I need to move my "dummy-date" that I have and would love to move it to a NYC cruise if there ever is one.

Have you heard anything about the new deposit requirements? I heard that the deposit in now 20%??

Have you thought about making one from the Disigners on here? They have really cute autograph book pictures that you can download for free and take to your local print shop and have them made into a personalized book. The Disers will even make a front page with your childs name on it. I don't know if anyone has pictures with the characters dressed in their DCL outfits but you might want to check. The characters thought ours was very cool and loved that the book had their picture on the page so they made a big deal out of it for our kids.

Yeah, I saw that as well!! Considering how far in advance people book these things, that's a long time for DCL to hold the money! The onboard booking deposit is 10% though. I've read conflicting reports about when you rebook one one those - some people are reporting that DCL is asking for the other 10% of the deposit.

I just got my notice today. I have the 7:30 show with late dining, which was exactly what I was hoping for. I'm starting to get really excited!

It got warm again here and the stink bugs have surfaced again! DW was outside working on her Halloween decorations and was being "attacked" by them - which was fairly amusing!!

It's just cold and dark here - and we r on puppy countdown 4 days till we get her.

It's half term holiday although I must admit I'm doing school work today

When is your thanksgiving ? Is it on a set date like Christmas or does it change like Easter?
Some American friends made pumpkin pie once for me and it was so yummy and soooo not what I expected .
Oh well have a good Tuesday x

Thanksgiving is the 4th Thursday in November. Pumpkin pie is yummy!!!

Sadly, we are bailing on this sailing.

I am kind of bummed, but Jeff thought it would be better to do a longer cruise as well as give us more time to get Colby potty trained. So now we are sailing on the 6-23-12 Fantasy cruise.

It was nice getting to know everyone and I hope you all have the most AWESOME cruise!
