Hi folks,

Back again, trying to catch up. I'm REALLY going to make an effort to read/post more frequently. I'm SO excited we're under the year mark. I'm also excited school has started (I need a schedule). I can't believe I have a middle schooler though.

I looked into vow renewal on our cruise (our 15th will be that Oct). I currently have it booked for Nassau day. However, DCL has increased the price by $1000. It was expensive to begin with, but now it's off the charts. I think I'm going to have to give it up.

I've gotten the makings for the FEs already. I did a test run as favors for my princess's bday party & they looked great. I'm excited. Last cruise, DH used a template I gave him to cut out Mickey heads from plywood. We spray painted them w/black chalkboard paint. I hung a piece of chalk from a red ribbon glued to the back. Those were a hit, but I want to do something different.

Looks like my plan of having the ship (relatively) to ourselves in Nassau isn't going to work. Looks like many plan on staying on with us. lol

We had lightening, thunder and heavy rain here most of the night...it did not make for good sleeping but our lawns need it as well.

I hope you guys to not get hit too hard on the east coast. You have had some really interesting weather this year.

Interesting? I've got a better word for it!!! :rotfl: We're getting spared on this one it seems (sorry for the folks up in Nantucket, etc...). Looks like a wind event here and the beaches may be closed for a good part of the weekend with crazy rip currents. We're still planning on hitting the beach though.

Friday is almost here!!!!! :)

Still dry here in CT...rains and winds coming later today. Hope it clears out for tomorrow and Sunday, we'll be sitting on soccer fields for a tournament all weekend.

Happy Saturday Everyone........

Well, we were spared no hurricane here. But the kids did get let out of school early one day this week due to the heat.

Today, feels like an early fall day here in CT....Kind of stinks...that fall and winter are coming!!

Hmmm..never thought about the vow renewal, although at that price I won't be doing anything more than "thinking"!! :lmao:We'll be celebrating our 20th a few months early (Oct) on thecruise.

We'll be staying onboard in Nassau too. While I think the ship will be more crowded than we'd hoped, SOMEONE has to get off, right??? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I haven't even started my FEs and need to get on the ball soon. I'm the "creatively challenged" one of the group - still trying to figure out what my limited skills will be able to handle this time!!

Feels like a crisp fall day here in upstate NY. DS had his first HS JV football this morning and DD is cheering a Pop Warner game tonight. I love fall!!

Have a great night everyone!!

Well.. just found out on Thursday morning, when I reported to work, that I have been transferred to a new building...:confused3:mad: _ the good news:
1 - instead of having to report to work at 7am, I don't have to be there until 8:30! So, Jordan doesn't have to get up at 6:15 for Elementary School anymore!
2 - I don't have to worry about what I'm going to do with her in the mornings - I get to take her to school myself!

Anyway - Happy school year everyone --- enjoy your Labor Day weekend!

Happy Labor Day weekend everyone

Hi Everyone,

Well, we survived the "Earl" that never actually got here. We had a lot of beach erosion though.

We are doing a back to back on this cruise. When we are done with the back to back we would have done 25 Disney Cruises.

I would like to see different gifts for each of the back to back cruises.

Hi all, I'm back. Typing left handed, but doing well. My stitches come out tomorrow yay! I went up to the National Harbor today with the kids and look what we saw....

I hope they really do come here, I'm so getting a job there if they do!

Number of cruises.

This will our 2nd Disney Cruise.

My DH and I have been on 5 others - 1 with Premier cruise line for our honeymoon in 1989 - this was the way to cruise and do disney prior to DCL. We did 4 days on the ship and 3 in the world. We have also been on 4 Royal Caribbean cruises with no kids.

We celebrate our 15th on 10/6. When's yours, Jude?

Dh and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on Saturday.

This cruise was originally going to be a celebration for our 10yr but we ended up having to go next summer instead of this summer...so we'll be having our big celebration for our 11th anniversary instead! :thumbsup2

Nothing romantic this year. Early on we explained to dd that our anniversary is our family's birthday so we tend to celebrate it as a family. We all slept in, had a great diner breakfast then did a 7.5mile bike ride (even the 4.5yo on his training wheels!), rounding out the day w/ a trip to DQ for Blizzards, dinner out and then a movie w/ popcorn back at home (because there wasn't anything kid friendly playing in the theaters!).

All in all a great day on Saturday with a full day yesterday at the PA Renaissance Faire. princess:pirate: Lots of ladies, knights, pirates and wenches! I need a few days at work just to recover!

Oh well had to share with you - sadly we lost one of our dogs in June. Floss was only 5 and the others have been really quiet since she died ... well we are getting another puppy:yay: Jay is only 2 weeks old but when we get some photos I;ll post them.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK #4

The questions are posted on our web site and I copied all of your answers from last week and put them there as well. If you ever miss answering one and want to chime in on an old question...feel free to post it and I will try to get it updated! :thumbsup2

So, here is our next question...

Since this is a double dip...what is your favorite thing to do on Castaway Cay? If you haven't sailed there before...what are you most looking forward to doing on Castaway Cay?

Can't wait to hear all the answers!
