I feel cheap, I'm only giving plastic filled eggs.

I do put my creativity into decorating shaped sugar cookies and chocolate dipped pretzels (and jello jigglers even though those don't really qualify for creativity).

I just saw in a magazine a slab of chocolate which was melted and poured out onto a sheet pan and then different holiday candies added to it. Looked festive.

I guess they don't want guests to get upset if something isn't available when they get ready to book. :confused3

Don't be jealous....just let us know what you're looking to find out and one of us can look for you. :goodvibes

I hope you get all the ressies that you're looking to make! :wizard:

Ginny

Ginny...How is brunch looking?

Yep!!! Too funny that we're booked on the same two! I saw that Beth is too.

It's too hard to pull my kids out from school now that my older son is starting High School this year.

Yeah, same here. Sarah wasn't happy with all the school work she had to make up, the homework was bad enough. She said after getting off the Halloween cruise she didn't want to go on vaction again if it was during school. :lmao:

Thanks Mary, not familiar with the online booking thing, last time I cruised Disney we all made the mad dash for Palo's.
So how does it work? Is there one more table open for 3-4 or is the entire restaurant open for that time slot?

:goodvibes That Dolce & Clemente market is very similar to where I go here in Milano for my food shopping !! :) I see you can get lots of stuff "made in Italy"- like Parmigiano Reggiano , though I think they must be quite expensive.
Will your wife buy a COLOMBA for Easter time ?
You can tell , :lmao: WE Italians so love to feast !!!! :dance3: laura

Yes but generally you Italians feast in a much more healthy manner than most Americans one might argue (e.g. Mediterranean diet). The Colomba doesn't look familiar to me, but looks delightful. I'll have to check and see if they have it at the market when we stop in on Friday. By the way - I'll be stopping by your home for some of those chocolate eggs - save some for me!!! :rotfl:

Yes - the costs are quite for some of the imported items from Italy. Often, if I happen to be in Philadelphia, I will swing by the Italian Market there (link here) for things like cheeses and meats - the prices are bit more reasonable.

We live right off of Rt. 130 about a half hour north of there. Might have to check it out next time we are passing through Robbinsville.

Practically neighbors! Just drove DS up to South Brunswick High School for a school function there last week. Oh - it's been awhile - but one of the best steaks I've ever had was at Arthur's Steakhouse & Pub in North Brunswick... Not a flashy place, but from what I remember - a quality meal!

Why all the food discussion lately?!? :lmao::confused3

Hi my name is Samantha. I am mjasp's daughter. I just thought I should introduce myself before the cruise. I am fifteen and was wondering if anyone has children that will be going to the teen club. My friend will also be cruising and she will be sixteen. Thanks in advance.

Morning Everyone! I thought about doing proper replies to everyone but then knew that I would never have time to do it and get out the door in time to go to work.

I have to leave a bit early today because it is....SNOWING AGAIN! :headache: The ground is already covered again and there are huge snowflakes coming down. I am sure the roads are going to be bad for my commute. I am truly hoping that winter ends at some point in Minnesota!

All the wonderful Italian food makes me so hungry! Laura - your chocolate eggs are delightful! We do not get that fancy at all.

Samantha - I have a DD who turns 15 in 6 days. I will send you a PM with her information as I know that she is hoping to spend time in the teens club and hopes to get to know some people a bit before we travel.

I am not feeling that anything will be open for Palo by the time I can book it. My goal will be to try to do it as soon as we board. DH and I only want a brunch reservation and if we don't get that then we will be skipping Palo this cruise.

Alright, just felt I should check in and say HELLO! I love the reading all the posts even when I don't have time to properly respond. Hope everyone has a wonderful SPRING day!

Jen

We've been successful in the past getting a reservation on board when unavailable online.

Enjoy the snow!

I'll see if I can walk you through it.

First you must log on to your account and select your reservation. If you are within your booking window you will see a link under the title My Cruise Plans that simply says "Book". Clicking "Book" will bring you to another page titled My Cruise Plans, scroll down to the section that reads "Reserve Activities". You will then see tabs for Excursion, Palo Dining, REMY Dining, Spa/Fitness, and Nursery. Just select what you want to book-Palo in this case. You will then get a choice of Brunch, High Tea or Dinner. Since we are 3 adults in our party the table sizes that are available for us are either 1- 2 or 3-4. Availability will show depending on how many guests you actually choose. You are also asked to select a primary person for the reservation and you also must choose who else in your cabin (or connecting) is dining.

Hope that made sense.

Mary

Yes, we live just past North Brunswick High School on the opposite side of Rt. 130 by Farrington Lake.

Arthur's is a great place for a steak. You're right, it's a Pub, nothin' fancy which we prefer.

Do you (or does anyone) know if the main person on the reservation has to do the bookings? Our reservation is under my mom's name, but would I be able to log in for us and book reservations for Palo or Remy?

The main person on the reservation does not have to be the one making the reservations. The systems allows you to select who the main person will be for the dining or excursion reservation you are making. You will be able to make all ressies.

Awesome, thank you! Because I'm more likely to still be up at midnight than my mom! :confused3:rotfl:

I know what you mean! I was just up at midnight also making all my ressies. It is pretty easy just be sure not to log on before midnight. I did it at the stroke of midnight and I was able to get everything I wanted.

Good luck!

Mary
