August 16 2009 4 night Wonder, Cruise-O-Maniac

Ooh, can we please !! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

YES YES I WISH!:cool1:

I cannot wait to get on board, grab my suit and head to the deck for a few of those drinks in the cool take home cups that I don't even care what kind they are because they are all so good!

So, for those of us who will be at WDW before and after the cruise, I am curious to know what your plans are for getting to the port and back?

I thought 70/pp was a lot for transfers on DCL, so I rented a car each way. The total came to approx $140.

My DH thinks that renting a car each way is going to be a headache (getting a shuttle to the car rental from the resort to the rental agency, and such) so he had me check the price for a town car.

The price with tip for a town car is approx what DCL would charge for the transfer, but the nice thing is we don't have to stop at any other Disney resorts and we can leave when we want.

I think I might cancel the rental and book the town car service. I just cannot believe the cost to get 4 of us from WDW to the port, which is only an hour or so away is so expensive!

We will be flying in a day before we port on the 15 and staying at the Marriot at the Orlando Airport. They take care of a whole bunch of shuttle check in stuff for you so it's really easy then we will take the Meers shuttle to the port. On the way back we will also be taking the shuttle to the Pop Century it's really easy. I'd love to have a car on the way there since the last shuttle going to the port is at like 10:00 am so those of you who have cruised before know what a bad wait this is once you get there, but everyone pretty much has to disembark at the crack butt of dawn so it's not like you can sleep in and take your time in the morning either. I think my breakfast time last time was 6:30 or something like that. Not to mention I like to get off the boat ASAP because finding your luggage in your room number area and getting in and through the disembarkment line can be a bunch of not fun. IDK if this helped but I hope. I'd say it's a matter of what is easy.

We've got a hire car for the two weeks that we'll be over in the US, so we'll be using that. We'll be at the Pop Century before and after the Cruise, we love it there :thumbsup2

Mandy,

Is this your second Cruise?

No, this will be our 3rd 4 night Cruise, and we been on 4 or 5 3 night Cruises too

We'll have already been in Florida for about 3 and a half weeks before the cruise so we'll have a hire car. We're spending our last 5 days after the cruise at SSR and we're trying to decide if we should keep the car or just use Disney buses and take ME back to the airport

Cool, so what is the new round of great stuff for return guest they are putting in your cabin these day's? Loved my bag from the last time around! We will be going to Pop Century also, we love it there as well meetin up with my parents.

Hey Everyone :wave2:

How are you doing today ?

Has anyone started any Cruise shopping yet ? I was lucky enough to pick up a new dress and a Summer top in the sales. And as it's a new year, I always treat myself to a new swimming tankini and shorts set and new sunglasses (I haven't seen any yet though :) )

Also the diet has started, unfortunately I'm not very good at the weekend, but thankfully I get weighed on a Friday :rotfl:

Anyway, I hope you're all keeping well

I don't think the gift has changed for a while. Last Summer I got a black and red back with some Castaway Club things in it, like a mesh bag, water bottles and notebook & pen

Hi Mandy :wave2:

I haven't started shopping yet, I'm hoping to have lost quite a bit of weight before we go and I'm saving all my shopping until we get to Florida. We've got a couple of weeks there before the cruise so I'm hoping to hit the shops :cheer2:

That's a good ploy as you have the week to make up for your weekend, my weigh day is tomorrow so I've been extra, extra good today :goodvibes

Hi everyone, Nope, no real shopping as of yet. I have 10 lbs. to loose to be where I want to be and I'm working on it. I'm an avid runner but at 6 degrees here today and freezing all the time lately I just cannot get outside it's way to cold and I don't belong to a gym. I'm also getting a new work out in a few weeks it's a kettlebell work out and I'm really looking forward to that I think it will get me in a lean mean Disney Cruise machine mode. I've been doing lots of crunches and push ups for now I hope I get results. I did try and some bikinis yesterday but I'm waiting for now.

Bahama Mama Bahama Mama come on say it with me!

Bahama Mama !! Bahama Mama :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Here's a virtual one for you ..

Well done on only having 10lbs to lose. I started a couple of weeks ago needing 16lbs to lose and so far I've lost 6lbs, hopefully the next 4 or 5lbs will come off over the next couple of weeks, and then I'll have to start doing some form of exercise

pixiedust: Good Luck everyone with your weight losses pixiedust:

Good luck, everyone!!

I too, would like to take off 10 lbs before the cruise. I guess I'd better be more diligent!!
