ok, i played around w/the pix thing...hope it works!

anyways, Janae, 10 sounds good. that's a good idea about exchanging cell phone #s. unless something happens. i'm really hoping to finish packing by thursday, so we can go play on friday!!

as for pv, i think our time is the early one. 7? or 7:30 maybe?

Brenda, that's great that you did your door signs! can't wait to view them. (if you're going to post them!)

as for DH's meltdown...funny thing was, i asked him "ok, i got the hotel confirmation, padres tix, anything else i'm forgetting??", and he was like "nothing, sounds good!" anyways, yes, i'm glad everything turned out fine. we just have to go to legoland again sometime soon! hee hee...

yes, typically why it is that the wives have to be in charge of "everything"??!! oh i don't know!!

anyways, like i said, everything turned out ok. we all had a great time!!!! the weather was so nice down there! and the lines at legoland is NOTHING compared to dl!!! our boys really enjoyed the bionicle section. does any of your DS/DDs like bionicles? and petco park was neat! they had this little field that the kids can play in, where they get to swing/hit, & run around the bases. our DSs really enjoyed doing that. it was so cute!!

and of course, every moment was a "kodak moment"!!

Brenda, are you album/pages online somewhere for viewing? i'd love to see them! i did one for our cruise! and we look at it all the time! that was one of my 2. i'm still a novice at it!!

hope more docs are arriving daily!

anyways, wish me luck w/the pix thing!!

Hi Susie - what a gorgeous family!!! i tried to upload the door signs, but the file is too large; not sure how to downsize them- but i'll keep trying. Unfortunately my album pages aren't online, but i should maybe work with that one of these days; maybe i'll just bring my WDW album with me. :)
My DS has been a "LEGOMANIAC" since from the very beginning; our 3rd car garage is our lego/weight room - more legos than weights!! And LOTS more $$$$ in legos! Even at 14 he still putz' with them...mostly building his own creations. He put the Star Destroyer (7212 pcs i think) together a couple of years ago in a day. He really loved LEGOLAND when we went about 4 years ago...altho that (10-11) is about the age max for that part :sad2:

thanx, Brenda! if you bring your album, i'd love to check it out!! but remember, that's extra space you're taking up for clothes/souvenir/etc! hee hee. :flower:

i would love to bring it - i love sharing my WDW album! I found some of those 'clothes vacuum-like seal bags' - so i think all of our clothes will get compressed pretty well - of course everything will need to go straight down to laundry for pressing once we board - i'm not going to spend that much time in the laundry room to iron everything!!!!

Hello Nancy. Yes some of us do plan sometime. My two sisters are the planners in their families and my dad was the planner and part time travel agent, so I guess you can say it runs in the family.

My wife just goes where I go. It is so funny because I see my son taking after me already. Whenever we go somewhere he always likes to study the map and see where we are and where we are going. In fact I think I will get a map of the area where the Magic is sailing. And we might start looking at the Navigators for the kids club.

Just as a FYI for anyone in the future. I bought two day tickets at AAA for about $38.00. They also carry tickets to all of the California theme parks. ie Sea World, San Diego zoo, Universal Studios ect...

I am thinking about making a door sign for Pirate night. Do you hang the sign on the outside of the cabin door? Are you not allowed to use tape?

Brenda I wrote awhile back about how to get good front row seats on the River of America for Fantasmic. If you want I can try to send it to you again.

Good Idea of how to get pictures for the door signs is to ask your travel agent for a copy of the Disney Travel Company Disneyland pricing guide it has lots of nice pictures of the castle and other characters on it.

Randall - thx for the reminder on the Fantasmic posting - i kind of remember that now - so i'm sure i can find that posting.

For the door signs, i found an 8.5 X 11 magnetic board, that comes with double sided magnetic strips that will just hang on the front of the door - i'm assuming doors are magnetic....??? can you experienced cruisers confirm that...btw - i used a photo from DCL planning guide and also a photo from the Disney Visa application with Capt Hook and Mickey....

Randall - I remember when we went on family car trips when I was little. My father would get the maps and a marker and map the entire route before we left. My DH doesn't even decide where we're going to go before we get in the car lol.

In today's world of Yahoo online maps and GPS' in cars, PDA's & laptops, it's nice to know that someone still uses maps

This was way before computers and the internet. Dad was just starting to get into the computer before he passed away in 1994. He would have loved to see how the internet had evolved. He would have had a ball.

today's technology is something else. My Grandmother passed away in '95 and really didn't experience the hi-tech industry - even though she was the President of the family business till she passed.

And here we are = upset when our cable or the wireless goes out and can't stand doing dial up!!! Crazy world today!

Hi Brenda
Just confirmed with my friend who went on the cruise last week.
The doors are magnetic and you should not have any problems with
your signs staying on.
However she did say that a few people in her DIS group signs were
taken. She was so upset b/c someone made the signs for her door
and she did not get a chance to take a picture of her door :(
Can you believe that. She also said the signs had her family's name
on them. So sad. So make sure you keep the artwork saved :)

that is VERY sad!!!! WHY OH WHY do people need to be that way???? Thanks for the info - i will save it - altho if it gets taken i would have to recreate it before i could put it in my album - the originals would be soooo much better than 'copies'! THANKS SO MUCH JANAE...

Hi all -

I signed in once, months ago, and haven't gotten a chance to check back in. Great to see all the people!

We're first time cruisers - myself (Kasey), my 7 year old son (Gabe) and my 3 year old daughter (Eavan). We're leaving Dad and the year old twins at home ... maybe next time, when they're older and we persuade Dad it will be fun. :)

I saw on another thread that there might be some solo parents on this cruise - is anyone interested in going to Palo as a group? I made reservations, just to make sure I get out, but I'd rather have plans with others, of course.

Best,
Kasey

Hi Kasey,
i'm traveling with my 14 DS Ryan; we too are leaving Dad at home and DS (but she's 24 and doesn't even live w/us anymore) :sad2:
When are your Palo reservations? I am going to brunch there one day with Arlene (alohatee) but could possibly do another time there as well - i hear it's well worth it...looking forward to meeting you, Gabe & Eavan.
Will you be making it to the meeting/get together sat at 3 pm in the promenade lounge - deck 3

It's all coming together, slowly but surely... Tux rentals were done yesterday. We got our dresses for formal night tonight. We are still waiting for our Passports and won't start panicing until the end of July when they assured us that they would be here. No doc's yet, but I'm not too concerned about that either. We hope to finish shopping Wednesday - but probably won't finish until the day before we leave. I'm getting more and more excited each day and so is the family - including the hubby, which I'm shocked about because he hasn't been too excited during this whole process.

Anyhow, can't wait - we are getting so close, it's hard to believe that a year and 3 months have almost passed...

Hey Friends

The only date and time I could register for Palo was Wednesday @ 9:00 pm.
Can someone tell me what's going on Wednesday night. Thanks

Janae
