it's been really hot here!!

i've started to put the clothes for our boys in a pile. and am doing laundry along the way! and i have my list of clothes to pack...am trying to only wear flip flops...and bring the least # of shoes as possible. i don't like packing shoes! only one fancy shoes, for palo/dinner...

i've filled out our docs. was doing it the other night, as i was watching tv.

we've got 2 weeks...less, actually!

Last week it was almost 100 here and expected to go back up to the 90's this week. I can't pack my bathing suits until it cools off a little.

I'm only bringing 1 set of sandals for the pool, one white sandals for casual dinner and 1 pair of black for semi-formal. I'm wearing my sneakers.

I FedEx'ed the in-laws documents and DL tickets. DMIL e-mailed me and wanted to know didn't she pay for 5 tickets - there were only 3. I SENT HER 5! Later she said she found the other 2. .

We leave for DL in 10 days Cruise in 13 Days 0 Hrs 47 Mins 50 Secs

OMG - i am a shoe freak as well....i think i have my tennies, 4 pair of flipflops (colors have to match the clothes) and my dress shoes....DS will have 2 or 3 pair only though!!!

Nancy - I am cracking up with your DMIL ....if you need an escape - there's only the two of us in our stateroom

We got our suitcases out today. Tried on the kids costumes. Matthew is Buzz lightyear and Carolyn is Snow White. They actually wore their costumes around the house for an hour or so. I think they are getting really excited also.

Getting ready to paste together a door sign. Can't do it on the computer because I'm not that computer savy. So need to cut and paste my door sign.

Kids keeps asking are we going today! Just turned changed out calendars to August. Actually I changed it on Saturday just to see the word August. Only 12 more days.

Don't forget your gym shoes!!!

Actually - I don't think I'll show her the secret deck on the aft of the ship. LOL.

I'm starting the final check to make sure we have everything and I'll do a Costco run this week and get candy snacks for the plane and the theatre/movies.

We are down to single digits until we leave for DL. 9 days from today.

Gym shoes/clothes will be packed!!!! probably the last thing though as i never know which gym shoes i want to wear till the morning....but only bringing one pair of those!

you do...(women themselves) you know you have to have shoes to match your outfit...can't wear something, and then, on your way out, no shoes...or at least, no matching shoes!! (at least, that goes for me!!) i try to buy shoes that are "mulit-purpose" shoes. one that matches just about everything in my wardrobe. but of course, not everything matches, so i have several. i think i can count all the pairs of shoes i own w/both my hands! like i've said, i am so not fancy! i could live in flip flops, if allowed!!

you are SOOOO right - we have to be in synch - but i know my hubby doesn't notice / care / or even acknowledge - he just "complains" about HOW MANY pairs of shoes are in the closet!!!

All this talk about shoes got me packing a few of mine. Do you think 3 inch heel, dress shoes can be packed in a carry on? Mine will fit better in the carry on, but I'm wondeirng if it would be considered a weapon (it looks like one, LOL).

OMG - i never thought about that before!!! you could always WEAR the 3-inch killer heels (with your shorts or jeans) while you go thru security - packing your tennies in the carryon - then switch once you're thru!!!!!

I'm almost tempted now.

I dont have much luck at airports. On our trip last weekend I was randomly selected (I had SSSSS on my boarding pass) to have my carry on searched and be poofed with air in a glass chamber, insted of going through the regular metal detectors.

hummm - air poofing chambers huh??? i don't think we have those in San Jose (yet....) but i suppose LAX does...although i haven't been selected in a long time for the random checks KNOCK ON WOOD!!!! I will just BE SO ANXIOUS to get to port - get on that ship - meet all of you and have that Bahama Mama!!! and i don't even drink!!!!
